Owners and staff were lovely. Beautiful location, with stunning view very clean, very good breakfast. Individual rooms with terrace . Each villa was set back, affording privacy.

“Incredible views, serene and very welcoming”

Everything about the property, staff and owners is excellent. An incredibly welcoming place. The breakfast and dinner compete with any high end restaurant. Being asked what we’d want for dinner the day before felt like luxury. The views from the room were incredible and there was so much wildlife to be spotted from the balcony. Special place, we plan to return in the future.

Immersed in silence and stillness, so relaxing. Plus the incredibile views and amazing breakfast.

Outstanding stay! I loved the contemporary architecture, the sleek, tasteful interior design and the breathtaking views. Also, the breakfast ranked as one of my best ever. It was such a treat to stay there and I will return the next time I visit Costa Rica.

“Absolutely Stunning”

Absolutely stunning. Not sure you could ever get board of the view. Every room has it own private views from the hillside downs and over the lake. Food is fantastic. A bar/pub within walking distance. We had a car with us so drove to the places we wanted to visit and never had to drive that far. Room at clean and comfy beds.

Enjoyed everything about our stay at Hotel Laguna Arenal. The rooms are modern and elegant, great showers and beds, and the most amazing private terrace with a breathtaking view on the Lake Arenal. Great photography opportunities for bird lovers! Anna is an excellent host, very caring and flexible, communicates very clearly (also in the Dutch language). She serves very tasty breakfast and dinner! We visited Volcano Arenal walking trails and hot springs from here, the location is perfect to drive to and from those points.

We loved the location, so tranquil with beautiful views and nature all around us and just a short walk to the village. The cabaña was very comfortable and Ana a wonderful host. The breakfast and dinner was the best, we were sorry to leave.

Death lizard in our bed; ants in bed; missing reception, so we didn't have chance to disscus problems; missing windows; hole in window net; birds excrements on terrace; squeaky sheet; closed restaurant... All staff left about 30 minutes after our arrival so there was nobody to solve the problems... Answeared our message after several hours... Terrible

A place of true peace and tranquility, with an incredible view over the lake. Waking up to the nature was a major highlight. Ana and her staff were wonderful, and the food they prepared for us was delicious. Highly recommend!

“Comfortable and quiet cabins overviewing the lake, driving distance to touristic hot spots”

Wonderful, clean and modern looking cabins with a beautiful view overlooking Arenal Lake. big and comfortable bed, large and well functioning shower and very good and optimal use of space in the cabin. We were greeted every morning by some birds on top of our cabin, and could see and hear all kinds of wildlife from the deck overlooking the lake. Special mention for the lovely cats running around the property and coming to greet us! The hotel staff provided special vegan options for breakfast every morning, which were absolutely lovely and tasty, and which was well above our expectations. Also a big thank you for allowing us to check in at a very late time at night and staying up late especially to accomodate us, very much appreciated! Driving distance from La Fortuna and many surrounding activities and touristic locations, the cabins are located outside of the touristic area in a beautiful and quiet place.
