The property is beautiful; however it needs quite a lot of maintenance, the roof was leaking in several places, and the damp was coming through. The kitchen table did not have enough chairs for 10 people, nor did the table outside. There were only 2 wine glasses and 5 teaspoons. It sadly needs a bit of love and attention. The couches outside need to be reupholstered and the carpet in the lounge needs a good clean. With a bit of TLC I am sure this place could return to it's former glory! Thanks

“I had a fair stay”
The property is set on a beautiful land and the views are stunning. It is spacious and there’s plenty of nature surrounding. There’s also many books to read.

“Obviously we did not stay at the property due to the double booking, but to the place is poor”
We did not stay in the property as the property was double booked. I did however walk through the property and found it to not be what I was expecting. It was filthy and unkept. I would never book this site again. The place is a mess.

“BEAUTIFUL!! we will be back”
Incredibly amazing views - scenic, tranquil and classically rustic - the ideal country cottage. The perfect place to hunker down and unwind and relax. Our host was super accommodating and always available. The onsite help was extremely accommodating and always available to clean / tidy up and ensure everything is in its place

The property is set on a large stand with magnificent views. The kitchen window overlooks the garden and mountains. Lots of fireplaces and doors open to the garden

The location excellent. Kitchen well equipped. Hot tub with views to die for but leaking.. Definitely recommend electric blankets in winter. The fireplaces good idea but maybe chimneys need cleaning as house was left smelling of smoke especially when one in formal lounge was used.

The house was ideal for our family vacation. There were in-house activities that kept us occupied at night. The house was clean and the helper also came in to clean in the mornings.

“A stunning spot from which to enjoy the southern berg. We will be back!”
We loved our stay at Bergwinds. It’s location is ideally situated - close to shops and Garden Castle. The property has a stunning view of the mountains, which we enjoyed whilst sitting in the jacuzzi. It accommodated 9 of us comfortably, and it was great having the pool table. It was clean, and most of the beds were very comfortable. The staff and our host, Shanelle, were attentive and helpful.
