“Best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka”

By far the best place we stayed in during 2 weeks in Sri Lanka, great value for money. The interior design is impressive, and the apartment is very spacious, with a nice terrace. The bathroom was also spacious and modern, with a separated shower (which is quite rare in this region and was highly appreciated). The breakfast was also excellent (loved the hoppers), wifi and AC were working well. Thank you to our friendly and helpful host and his family!

“Fabulous location and comfortable studio close to Turtle Beach”

Wonderful location withing seven minutes walk of Turtle beach, where you can feed and snorkel with turtles. - Go early at sunrise and you will be amazed. Private, furnished balcony at the back of the property was very comfortable, with resident pond heron, and passing mongoose and monkeys on a daily basis. Restaurants, local stores and a good bus service within a few minutes walk. Genuine, warm welcome by the host Kumara and his family - and the included breakfasts on a daily basis were served on our balcony and were delicious. Wifi was strong and reliable and the bathroom had an excellent shower and good hot water. The bed was comfortable and the studio had everything we needed.

One of our favourite places we stayed in Sri Lanka! So open and spacious with your own fridge and kitchen! The family are super welcoming, provided plenty of breakfast! The property is just a short walk from the beach and on the outskirts of Unawatuna so a lot more peaceful! We got a tuk tuk in for 500 rupees each night to go for dinner

“Great studio in an incredible destination”

The studio was so tidy, neatly arranged on short notice. And it exceeded my expectations in so many ways, from the facilities (shower, kitchen, furnitures, balcony) to how spacious it was. A/C plus ceiling fans make an ideal combo to adjust the room temperature as desired. The details on the decoration were so well curated. And the sri lankan breakfast was incredible, with plenty of delicacies so rich in flavors. Kudos to Kumara and all his family for arranging this great accommodation in such an awesome destination

The property is absolutely gorgeous. I stayed here for 3 nights and would recommend it to anyone visting Galle. The interior of the room was very pleasant and the kitchen had all equipments one could need. The room and washroom was all very clean and exactly as expected. The host and his family live downstairs and are very sweet people- available if we need any help. The property is also just 5 mins away from the Dalawelle beach where one can swim with the turtles. The outdoor sitting was so comfortable as well- an amazing place to enjoy the yummy complimentary breakfast they provide- excellent sri lankan food with a large variety of fruits.

It was very comfortable had everything you d need. The price was excellent and a short walk to the beach in a quite setting. The family that host the studio are so kind and helpful Breakfast huge too much but tasty.

“Perfect”

Excellent apartment and great host, nice location

This is a fantastic accommodation. We can't recommend it enough. The room is even better than the photographs - it's spacious and has a lovely balcony. The place is tastefully done. The hosts are exceptional in their warmth and hospitality - they helped us with everything including exchanging foreign currency. There's a train track close by but it's not a problem at all. The breakfast was great too. The place is not on the beachfront but it's just about a 2 min walk from the beach. You spend far less than you would for a beach resort - and get a bigger room and wonderful hospitality. Definitely value for money.

“Beautiful calm place super close to the beach”

We loved that this property felt like a home. The delicious Sri Lankan breakfast made by your host Kumara’s family every morning to enjoy on the balcony surrounded by trees, birds, monkeys and chipmunks. The studio apartment is private, quiet, stylishly decorated and super clean. Lovely hot shower with good pressure. Amazing balcony with comfy seats. Very spacious! The location is great - a few minutes to a stunning beach where you can see turtles and then a walk along the beach for about half an hour to Unawatuna. Lots of restaurants around and beautiful jungle road walk to the station.

This studio has unique blend of rustic and modern design. Host has ensured even the minute details to take care of every need. This studio has everything a traveler needs, and great for long stays as well. Host is a sweet family and they served a very delicious homemade breakfast right on time. This studio has beautiful balcony surrounded by lush green trees and rain makes it even beautiful. Beach is just few minutes away and easily accessible. Overall this place is a great deal for a price. Highly recommended.

“Pleasant chill place for staying”

We spent two awesome weeks in this apartment. The space is very cozy and stylish, with a huge terrace with comfortable armchairs, a sitting area, and a table. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, sink, and refrigerator. All necessary utensils are provided: plates, pans, pots, cutlery, cups, etc. There are also a kettle, toaster, and blender, which was very helpful for making homemade smoothies. Spacious bathroom with a large shower area. A very comfortable bed. Hosts: A special thank to Kumar for his hospitality! A very welcoming and friendly family, the owner of the apartment greeted us warmly, helped with all our questions, gave good recommendations for restaurants and beaches, and was always ready to help. Breakfast: Every morning, we had delicious homemade breakfasts, tea and freshly brewed coffee, and a huge plate of fruits. And all this on our own huge balcony, surrounded by chipmunks, birds, and monkeys. Location: The location was perfect for us. The apartment is located on the second line from the sea, away from road noise. The nearest beach is a 5-minute walk away, while Unawatuna Beach is a 7-minute tuk-tuk ride or a 30-minute walk along the sea. There's also a bus stop nearby. The supermarket is 10 minutes away, but there are also small local shops nearby. Because of the slight distance, at night you can only hear the sounds of nature and nothing else. It's a very secluded spot, away from the noise of cafes and crowds of tourists. We're so glad to chose Chilli Studio for our vacation time! First we did one week booking, but then decided to extend our stay because it's the perfect place, and the quality of everything is on top. But most importantly thing about it is the attitude towards guests, the incredible hospitality, and the true comfort of home!

WE LOVED EVERYTHING about the Chilli Studio a beautiful well kept private large apartment with a comfy bed, massive fully equipped kitchen and large balcony for you to eat the wonderful Sri Lankan breakfast prepared by Kumara and his beautiful family. You might even spot a monkey if you are lucky. Kumara made us feel so welcome he kept in touch with us to see if we were Ok and if we needed anything. He organised our trip to Udawalawe for us as well which was an amazing day. Thanks Kumara and your amazing family for the best stay we will never forget...Leanne and Melissa x

“Lovely accommodation highly recommend”

This is a great place to stay..,,lovely clean studio with a private balcony upon which a delicious breakfast is served. Very comfortable bed. The studio is well equipped with all needed to prepare own meals if required big fridge:freezer cook top kettle blender etc It’s spacious and well decorated and would definitely be suitable for longer stays than the 3 nights we stayed. Above all the host who lives downstairs was extremely hospitable and friendly and organised Tuk tuk driver at reasonable price for our onward transfer. There is a train line at back of property but this isn’t a problem at all and didn’t disturb us. I would recommend Chilli studio without hesitation and would stay there again if in the area.

“Easiest 10/10 we have had to give”

We had an amazing experience here with Kumara and his family. Thank you for the hospitality, attention to detail and care. We stayed here for five nights altogether, and we felt comfortable the entire time. The apartment is a large space, full of character. It is very clean with a great outdoor area to relax in. We had a tuktuk which made it easy to get around, we were allowed to park inside the property too. The breakfast was amazing - we couldn't finish them - you can count on starting your day with a full stomach. Honestly - thank you so much for making our stay in Unawatuna so memorable and special.

Self contained, private studio apartments with a well equipped kitchen and lots of space. Balcony was a really nice space to relax and watch the trains go by. Great breakfast served by Kumara’s family who stay downstairs
