“Great stay, highly recommend”

Owner Sumit personally welcomed us to the property, room was clean and comfortable in a beautiful property. Fantastic spread for breakfast daily and Sumit was always on hand to help with anything we needed. 1 minute walk to the beach and restaurants so very convenient.

“Fabulous small hotel perfect for our visit to Unawatuna”

We had a fabulous stay at Ridee Villa. The team looking after us were kind and friendly, we felt very much at home from the moment we arrived. I had a massage during my stay which was amazing! We were particularly impressed in how the staff went above and beyond when our daughter got sick, taking us twice to a local medical centre. Besides that, the breakfast was great and we loved the pool. Super close to the beach and lots of restaurants and shops. Would recommend to anyone visiting Unawatuna!

“Beautiful stay and beach in Feb”

The hotel is very pretty and the staff is courteous. They have a very good buffet breakfast so make sure you take that option. Very close to the beach and provide tours if you are interested

“Fantastic Quirky Boutique Hotel”

All the staff were amazing. You were met with a cold towel, a drink and a welcome sign. The owner was so lovely he arranged for us to go to Galle in his Landrover and also to Turtle Beach. The pool was lovely and peaceful. The breakfasts were very good with an ever changing selection each day and an egg station. The artwork is fantastic and so much effort has been put out in to making this a very special boutique hotel. We had 2 VIP rooms which gave us access to a full kitchen and our own balcony area. The owner has pet squirrels which is lovely and great fun as they are little characters. The beach is just the other side of the road with loads of beach bars, restaurants etc so very convenient.

“Amazing stay at Villa Ridee”

We had a great stay at Ridee Villa. From the moment we arrived we received the warmest greeting from Sumith and his team, they gave us a welcome drink, cold towels and flowers. They really know how to provide great service and all the small touches like providing beach and pool towels, free sightseeing tours in their Land Rover and a warm welcome each morning at breakfast. Breakfast was excellent and we loved having eggs/omelettes made for us. Location was perfect for exploring the South Coast (beach across the road) and there are lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommend 😁

Although we had to cancel our booking that we did personally, the manager and his staff showed a kind understanding and invited us for a fresh juice. They walked us through the property and it looked a high level boutique hotel with a huge personal feels like home touch. I especially valued that they maxed the potential of its colonial style so tge guest could feel like a traveller a century ago.

We had the best welcome from Sumith and everything was perfect. th staff were all friendly and helpful but the best was all the Sri Lankan dishes included for breakfast which changed every day. I tried them all! Seeing monkeys while swimming in the pool was a bonus. so glad we went for the VIP room with its spacious balcony.

My stay at Ridee Villa was truly exceptional, and I can't recommend it enough. The breakfast spread was a delightful feast, featuring a wide array of dishes that beautifully showcased a blend of Asian, European, and tropical cuisines. It was a perfect start to each day, offering something for every palate. One of the highlights of my experience was the complimentary transfers to at least three of the most famous beaches in Galle, making it incredibly convenient to explore the stunning coastline. The villa's prime location provides easy access to major roads, nearby tourist attractions, and popular restaurants, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The property also offers affordable transfer options, which added to the convenience and value of my stay. But what truly made my visit memorable was the warmth and attentiveness of the staff, especially the owner, Mr. Sumith. His passion for hospitality and resilience in ensuring guests have a memorable experience were evident in every interaction. Overall, Ridee Villa offers a perfect blend of comfort, flavour, and hospitality. I look forward to returning and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Galle!

“Beautiful villa hotel”

Boutique like villa, friendly staff. Comfortable large rooms. Good breakfast . Staff will take you nearby turtle beach on their tuk tuk.

It was an exceptionally good experience from.the flexibility and generosity of the owner to all the stuff, each of them do nice, helpful and friendly! There is a wonderful garden with terraces with a sights over the beach, a beautiful pool area. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable with very big double beds, spacious bath room, and everything daily well cared for. It is a familiar atmosphere, we felt very much at home! Thanks for the wonderful time

Everything. The pool was great. We don't really do breakfasts but the one we had was absolutely fine. Sumit organised a trip to Yala for us which was excellent value. Comfy bed, good shower. Housekeeping every day but vety respctful of privacy and no pressure to be in and out. Great location near the beach and a quick walk into the centre of Unawatuna along the path at the back of the beach. Loved having the big fridge(shared with other rooms in the communal kitchen) . Good spot for watching the Xmas fireworks. Would happily stay again. Thank you for a brilliant stay.

“Beautiful, luxurious and very welcoming”

Absolutely perfect. We had VIP rooms that gives you a private kitchen and large front terrace- perfect for our 3 generations of family reunion. Simith and his team made us feel at home and very special, cooking favourite foods and driving us around town and beaches. The whole place is immaculate and smells wonderful and the pool a luxury oasis

Amazing Villa! Clean and stylish. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location near to the beach (2 min walk). Tasty breakfast. Nice swimming pool and garden. Perfect to make morning yoga. VIP room in 2nd floor is perfect and bath tub is very big and comfortable

The host and is wonderful team will make your stay a great one. The hotel itself has a generous amount of space available for guests. You can take a short walk to the beach or relax at the hotel.
