“Amazing vibe, great stay!”

This is an amazing place to be if you are looking to meeting other travellers, and want to spend some time relaxing in a quiet place close to nature. The plot of land right next to the hostel is left to nature so you can oftentimes see and hear monkeys and other wild animals. The host also offers activities such as yoga and dinner, and can give you surf lessons if you are looking to learning how to surf. He’s a super nice and open host and it sometimes felt more like coming to visit a fiend with all the late-night conversations you’ll have if you want to. There is an amazing space outside where you can get some work done, meet other people or just relax. With the female dormitory it is amazing for female solo travellers, and Isuru is happy to make a vegan breakfast if you ask him to (the dinner he prepares is vegan) so it really vegan-friendly. It’s also quite close to the beach (with the Bike it’s about 5-10 min, depending on which beach you choose to visit), and a beautiful Buddhist temple.

Had a great time at Hostel Singha, the owner Isuru is a lovely guy who goes out of his way to make events like family dinner and yoga happen, making the hostel super social. He is also a great surf teacher, I took 2 lessons with him and felt much more confident! The dorm rooms are basic and clean with mosquito nets great value for money.

Isuru was so friendly as always willing to help y and the garde was amazing! The area is lovely still close to the centre but far from the noise!

The people there really make a difference! Everyone is super nice. Isu always sets up a good vibe and plans about day trips. There’s also a beautiful garden to hang out in day and night time.

Very friendly host and volunteers, who welcomed us friendly and gave us good advice for our stay. There is a, nice garden and it is very clean. Free tea, a fridge and kitchen you can use. My mosquitonet was very broken, but it was replaced on the same day when I asked for it. The dorm is quite small, and the matrasses are very uncomfortable as they are so soft that you feel the hard ground. For an afternoon, our dorm was not accessible because the owner wasn't available, and his staff couldn't find the key, so we had no access to our luggage and bed.

The owner & the girls helping out were very kind. The outdoor area is nice & breakfast was good. You have the option to do yoga & surf with the owner & his friends

I had a great time there, I would like to stay more if I could. The hostel was friendly, the owner gave good recommendations and also made an amazing meal for dinner. The neighborhood is quiet but still close to the bus or tren station (20mn walk), definitely better than the touristic area. I highly recommend it.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Great atmosphere, super social and a homely feel to it! The location is amazing, tucked away from the noise of the streets, surrounded by nature but still close to the beaches and the town. Highly recommend to everyone!!

“Chilled and social vibes!”

I had a great time at this hostel. It's a chilled and social vibe, met many nice people and stayed for 4 nights at the end. The breakfast was okay (noodles with Dhal Curry). The location is a bit further in the "jungle", but the surrounding of nature is beautiful. Just from my perspective the prizes for the scooter and bicycle rent was a bit too high (compared to thei conditions of the bikes).

“A really great place!”

The property is so spacious and very clean! It’s in a beautiful area that is quiet but still you can get everywhere you need to. It has an amazing outdoor space for yoga and chilling too. You get homemade breakfast every morning and the host also offers surfing lessons. A really great stay! 10/10 recommend.

It was located out of the busy touristy area and surrounded by nature. Bikes are available to rent to get around or you can get tuktuks for cheap. The owners are lovely. The overall vibe of the hostel is it's very social and nestled in a relaxing environment. Feels like a homey hostel.

I enjoy my best time in this place! Staff very friendly , Judith and Isuru are the best and I make my tatoo in the hostel! That’s amazing, you can do that and see with the staff, it’s easy!

Owner is very friendly and organises hostel dinners. Good value for the money. Clean rooms. Very nice outdoor chill area.

“Relaxing stay”

Nice welcoming from Judith and her family The garden and the terrace outside is lovely It a great location especially if you have your own transportation, close to the beach and temple. The cooking class was really interesting and the food so good!
