We stayed at Seleucia DaR Umm Qais for two nights and really enjoyed our time there. It was a comfortable and pleasant stay, and we are already considering returning in the future. The accommodation itself was comfortable and well maintained, and we felt very welcome during our stay. Everything contributed to a relaxed and enjoyable experience. My partner and stayed in Seleucid as we explored and experienced the joys of Umm Qais. This home was so comfortable we extended our stay! From the very comfortable bed, to the lovely lounge room, then to the well appointed kitchen where we cooked meals from produce bought a walk away locally. Being winter the A/C ensured we were cozy in the evening and the sun-drenched patio was the perfect place for our breakfast.

Lovely rooms, comfortable bed, aircon and heating was lovely. Really good wifi. Good location. Tv was nice for the evenings. Kitchen was great. Views from the porch across the valley was nice. 10/10 would stay again.

I instantly felt at home here, so much so that I came back for a second stay! The apartment is even better in person: clean, thoughtfully set up, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Lots of space makes it perfect for longer stays (I stayed 3 nights the first time and loved it), with a king-bed master bedroom, another bedroom with multiple singles, a cosy living room, full kitchen, laundry, and bathroom. Of note were the amenities that made my life easier, from excellent heating (much needed mid-winter!) and a hot shower to a well-equipped kitchen and a washing machine with drying rack. Very fast, stable wifi meant I could work from home, and stuff like streaming and video calls weren't an issue. The free parking right out front was another big plus. Extra touches like the terrace and enclosed garden made the whole thing feel like a little retreat. You also couldn’t ask for a kinder or more attentive host: Ahmed goes above and beyond, and is available for advice, help with logistics, and to cook generous, super tasty (and, in my case, vegan) homemade meals. On location alone, it’s fantastic: just minutes from the Umm Qais ruins, the nearby nature reserve, and beautiful viewpoints over forests and mountains. A car is definitely needed in the town as a whole, although you can walk from the apartment to get food, coffee, and stuff from the shops. Unforgettable overall: amazing value for money, stunning sunsets, and a relaxing escape in one of the loveliest parts of Jordan. I miss being there already. I wholeheartedly recommend it and hope I can return again soon!

My favourite place I stayed in Jordan 💜 Ahmed's apartment is even better than the pictures – cute, cosy, comfortable, sparkling clean, and with everything you need: a well-equipped kitchen; washing machine and drying rack; great heating/aircon; a super comfortable bed; hot shower; solid wifi; free parking; and a charming host who will help with anything and go out of his way to make your stay memorable and perfect. The place is also huge – it has a master bedroom with king bed, a separate bedroom with 3 single beds, a spacious living room, a full kitchen, a laundry, and a bathroom, not to mention a gorgeous terrace and walled garden that make it all feel safe and luxurious. It's incredible value for money for what it offers! It's super close to everything to do in Umm Qais, including the ruins, the Baraka Destinations eco-tourism classes, and Yarmouk Forest Reserve. Ahmed offers homemade meals (7/10/15 JD for breakfast/lunch/dinner for 1 person), and can cater to special diets. He made me a delicious vegan feast (an impressive feat in Jordan!) on the night I arrived that was so generous it lasted me 3 days, and had the best lentil soup I had in the country! It's such a relaxing getaway from the hectic world of Amman and other nearby towns, and the surrounding mountains are beautiful. Sunsets are spectacular, especially from nearby viewpoints. Staying here was the highlight of my 3 days in Umm Qais and one of the best things I did in Jordan, and I super highly recommend it.

The host has gone to a lot of trouble to make the single storey house/apartment feel homely and comfortable. Communication with the host was very easy and Hisham, who met us when we arrived, carried our suitcases in, and prepared breakfast, could not have been more helpful and friendly. The house is spacious with separate lounge, kitchen and (two) bedrooms. It is a short distance from the main road and easy to find. It is also very convenient for visiting the Umm Qais Archeological Site. There were adequate cooking facilities, a good supply of hot water, and the air-conditioning worked. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor terrace where Hisham served us breakfast.

Everything was perfect, great view, cleanliness and tranquility and the owner of the hostel was helpful.
