Dear Hotel Management, I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding my stay at your hotel (room 357) from 23 March to 27 March 2026. During my stay, I encountered multiple significant issues that were neither resolved nor adequately addressed by your staff, despite being reported at reception: - There was almost no cold water available in both the shower and the sink, making it impossible to shower or use basic sanitary facilities properly. - The television in the room was not functioning. - Despite reporting these issues, no repair was carried out, and no alternative room was provided due to alleged full occupancy. As a result, I was deprived of one of the most basic and essential services expected from any accommodation: access to proper hygiene facilities. In modern standards, the inability to shower due to lack of water is unacceptable and constitutes a serious deficiency. Furthermore, the room provided bore little to no resemblance to the one advertised online, which added to the overall disappointment and dissatisfaction. Under German consumer protection law and hospitality standards, such deficiencies may constitute a “Mangel” (defect), entitling the guest to a reduction in the accommodation price (“Minderung”). Given the severity of the issues and the complete lack of resolution, I consider this situation to be a substantial breach of contract. Therefore, I formally request a refund of at least 50% of the total amount paid (€288), as reasonable compensation for the inconvenience and failure to provide agreed services. Should this matter not be resolved promptly, I will be compelled to pursue further action. This may include filing a formal complaint with the relevant consumer protection authorities in Germany, seeking legal advice, and sharing my experience through public review platforms.

Although this hotel is very central, I think there would be far nicer places to stay! The breakfast was very good with a large selection of hot and cold food on offer. This was undoubtedly the highlight. The Minster is beautiful and worth a visit.

Nice new rooms (in the new hotel wing), city view from higher floors, garage parking, location.

Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. The view from our room were nice. Staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast were quite good. Easy to see many attractions by foot from the hotel.

Location is close to station, tram, shops, cafes, the Cathedral etc.
