We spent our entire stay in Mongolia with this guesthouse, and it was one of the best decisions we made during our trip. We joined three different tours organized by them, and every experience exceeded our expectations. What impressed us most was how carefully they listened to what we wanted and adapted the tours to match our interests and budget. They didn't just organize trips – they created unforgettable experiences. One of our biggest wishes was to stay in traditional gers with nomadic families, and thanks to their help we had the opportunity to meet a wonderful nomadic family who welcomed us as if we were part of their own home. It was one of the most authentic and memorable experiences of our journey. The team was always helpful, flexible, and genuinely cared about making our trip special. The guesthouse itself felt like a home away from home. From the very first day, we felt less like guests and more like family. If you are looking for a guesthouse that truly understands travelers and goes the extra mile to create unique experiences, we cannot recommend them highly enough. This is a great guestroom ! We had the room for 2 people for a lot of days, and it has everything needed. The owners are very nice, and they organised a tour for us in the Gobi desert that was excellent ! I recommend absolutely!

The Staff is helpful and welcoming, the family that operates the hostel provides an informative of the area. The husband speaks English and seeks to make you feel at home, it is close to transportation and shopping.

We loved our stay at Town Yard Hostel! All the staff were very friendly and helpful! The hostel is clean, and breakfast is included and delicious! The kitchen is well-equipped and it's also a great place to meet and chat with other travelers. It's just a short walk from the city center and close to markets and restaurants! They even have a storage room for your backpack while you explore Mongolia! Highly recommended! баярлалаа

I lovely hostel in Ulaanbaatar. It was freezing outside but the hostel and room were always warm. The owners were lovely too.

“Amazing place with average sleep”

Overall the property was very well maintained. The bedrooms were basic but the shared bathroom was amazing. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. The hostel was definitely family friendly and traveller friendly and is a good cheap alternative for those wishing to visit on a budget.

Everything went smoothly, both check-in and check-out. The location is excellent, very convenient for getting around on foot. The staff was very kind and provided all the information I needed. If I ever come back to Mongolia, I would definitely stay here again.

“Good choice for Ulaanbaatar.”

The free breakfast was a very nice bonus. Hot drink, eggs, veggies and bread. Free tea and coffee available all the time. Very clean room and facilities. Very good location just a hundred metres await from the Monastery. Will definitely reccomment it.

Secure parking for our motorbikes. Nice friendly and really helpful owners. Very clean everywhere and a nice communal kitchen and lounge area. Breakfast was varied every day, good quality and quantity. The place has a nice overlander vibe.

The owner couple is so friendly and heartwarming. I arrived there almost midnight but she still waited for me... I really appreciate it. The breakfast was also amazing. Other guests were also kind. Very impressive time for me:)

This is the best plqce to stay in UB. If you are looking for good location, nice accomodation, competitive prices and a helpful, generous host family.

“Great Location for those visiting Monastery, hard bed.”

The location is fantastic as I wanted a place very near to the monastery that I am visiting everyday. The share toilet is cleaned everyday and quite nicely renovated. I have a so called ensuite bath room but since there is no basin so I have to use the one in the share bathroom and it is cleaned daily. The share area is quite alright, big with sofas and dining table. The road outside is pathed with stones so it does not get all muddy if it rains. Very near to supermarket and restaurants. Own speaks English and are very friendly. Transportation arrangements are also available at 100,000 Tugrik or 30 USD. Breakfast is pretty much pasta with tomato sauce and vegetables, fried egg on toast, or rice with salad between 8am and 9am. Laundry service is about 3USD per kg as hand wash wasn't allowed. The mixed-dom room is half floor down the ground level, and there rest are half floor up.
