Minamo is located in the heart of the Chikugo-Yoshii preservation district. This traditional house not only preserved its Meiji-to-Taisho period design, the inner facility is also modernally slick and elegance. The room is exceptionally clean and the host is very friendly. My daughter and I utterly enjoyed the historical architecture walk with the map provided by the host and get to know more about tThe Chikugo-Yoshii Important Preservation Districthe history of Ukiha.

“Lovely stay in beautiful historic building”
An old warehouse from the 19th century turned into a stylish place to stay. We had the whole building for ourselves, including the bar with complimentary drink ingredients. Also loved the litte bath and the main room. We were greeted by a welcoming lady at the front desk in another building, who brought us to our place, showed everything and helped us to book a table at a nearby restaurant.

“Overall a very authentic experience!”
Breakfast was great and traditional, however the breakfast location was not located where the rooms were and you had to take a 10min walk. Rooms were super big but the blinds are not black out ones so they did not keep the light out in the early mornings. The snacks provided in the room was a nice touch as the shops close very early in Ukiha.
