Good location if you want to be close to the main Uji train station. The kitchen was great, we were so pleasantly surprised with it! The room was very nice as well.

The location of the property is great, 5-10 min. walking distance to grocery store and restaurant. However, the hotel locate at a quiet alley.

Friendly staff, our luggages got taken care of as well, as we arrived earlier than the check-in time and after check-in they were in our room (no mean feat as one of them was massive, so really appreciated they were already in the room). It was very clean, and the futons were comfortable enough.

“Amazing hospitality and location”
Love this place! The hospitality is unmatched, staff are friendly and kind, and location is great - close by to many food places and only a short walk from the train station. Place is very neat and clean as well.

We truly enjoyed our stay and are very grateful to our host for the kindness and warm welcome. The traditional house was such a beautiful experience for us, and sleeping on the futons made our stay feel even more authentic and special. Our host went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable, and we really appreciated the care and attention given to us during our time there. It was not just for one night, but a memorable experience that we will cherish. Uji Tea Inn was wonderful! The rooms were comfortable and facilities very clean. We took advantage of the shared kitchen for breakfast each morning, and the free coffee and tea really kept us going. The staff were all so lovely. There was parking out front.

“Calm and relaxed visit”
Very nice place to stay at especially close for buying authentic matcha, walking distance to tea shops and to the Nintendo Museum. The area is very quiet and calm. Close by to at beautiful shrine. Very friendly staff to guide us and greet us.

“Feeling local vibes”
Charming traditional house close to the Nintendo Museum and the train station. I stayed there in the japanese room close to the entrance, big enough for me with a cattle for tea available. Nice atmosphere in a full wood house with a nice traditional small garden. The lady at the reception has been really nice helping me in finalizing my Matcha shopping tour for the day after sharing recos and suggestion and ideas for where to have dinner. The house is offering also a full equiped kitchen (the biggest I see in japan) so you can also grab somefood from the nearby supermarket. You can walk from the hotel to uji citycenter with a nice walk too.

It is a great inn to experience the traditional Japanese room experience, with the tatami floors and futon was the best part of the experience. It is also great that it is located outside the main Kyoto city so it was mostly quiet and calm at night.

“A perfect place to stay with kindness people, feel a local family”
Staff family were really nice and polite. They introduced all things you need to know. We arrived a bit late for check-in due to the train from Osaka Kansai. However, they waited us until 8 pm. This property close to my famous place around the city. Whereas you can walk through there from the train station. Sadly, we stayed there only a night. Wish to be there again! Oh btw, they have a free-flow green tea to serve you with a greaten taste ever.

The staff was kind and waited for us even though we arrived at a later time. They explained everything well and took care of our luggages after a rainy day. The inn was quiet and everything was clean.
