“A haven in the Sud Schwarzwald”
We have stayed at the Kreuz several times previously on our long trips to Austria. We always get a warm welcome and are made to feel at home. The location in the Sud Schwarzwald village of Riedern am Wald is super peaceful and calm. Our room was, as usual, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is a good start to the day. Only 20 minutes drive from the lovely lake Schluchsee, passing the well known Rothaus Brewery.

“it was a good stop over”
The breakfast had a good choice of cereal, yoghurts, breads. There was a lovely display of cold meats etc which unfortunately we don't eat,

Exceptionally clean. Hosts were very welcoming. Food was excellent. We would recommend it.

“Excellent breakfast but quite remote in location.”
Plenty of parking. Our room had a nice terrace. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best in our 4 week trip.

“A two night stay that was different on each night. Quite poor then very good!”
Myself and two friends stayed here for two nights in June 2023. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was really good as we were touring on motorbikes and both the B500 and the Swiss Passes (Grimsel, Susten and Furka) were in easy reach. We only ate at the Hotel Kreuz restaurant once during our stay (see below) but the evening meals were good as was breakfast on both mornings.

Very warm welcome the room large and clean.the evening meal was the best food that I have had on my trip and the breakfast was also excellent would definitely stay again and recommend .
