A very simple accommodation, exactly as described – but clean, authentic and with an absolutely beautiful view of the lake. What really made the stay special were the hosts: incredibly warm, welcoming and genuinely kind people. You immediately feel at ease. A heartfelt thank you – I truly appreciated the stay.

Taku was an outstanding host - so kind and generous to us and ensured the fireplace was always on. Breakfast was amazing and this place was a highlight of our holiday. Thank you Taku and your family, we loved it!

Our stay at Villa Taku was absolutely wonderful! Taku is an amazing host — kind, warm, and extremely helpful. The house is simple, traditional, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. Fresh, clean bed linens, towels, and blankets were provided, making our stay even more pleasant. We had no issues with heating at all, as Taku kindly provided us with plenty of firewood for the stove. The view from the room was breathtaking, and the homemade breakfast served on the balcony with a view of the lake was truly unforgettable. Communication is done in English with Taku’s son, who responds immediately and is just as helpful and attentive. We highly recommend this place without any hesitation and would gladly stay there again!

This was the best stay during our 2 weeks trip. We were welcome very warmly. My children could play with the rabbits and sat on the donkey. The apartment had everything we needed and we got a fire going in the evenings. The little balcony had a great view over the lake and we enjoyed our coffee there which was brought to us as a bonus.

The view was amazing and the peaceful atmosphere was great too. The location is not too far from the lake and the quiet place allows you to sleep very well and comfortable. A plus is the delicious food we had for breakfast. Also, Taku and his wife are lovely and genuine people. Highly recommended.

Amazing view at the lake having breakfast by the balcony. Property is full of flowers and fruits. Owners were always caring and constantly giving us little details that made the experience wonderful.

“Authentic Albania: Peaceful home overlooking Lake Ohrid”

Location was good (up the hill from the main road, so you have a good view of the lake and Macedonian mountains). Taku met me on arrival so no stress finding the place and parking. Taku and his wife (Zara?) were both super hospitable. They showed me the goats (and I got to milk one .. the milk was surprisingly delicious), and I had some of their Raki (brandy) and goat cheese. Using Google translate, we had conversations about many things. The place was clean and comfortable, and I liked the outdoor area (lots of plants, flowers, fruit trees and even a visiting rabbit).

Our hosts don't speak English, but prior communication was smooth with the help of their son. Dad was waiting for us at the agreed time next to the local school, from where I only had to drive a few meters to safely park near the house. The upper floor of their house is entirely available to guests, with a living room with a kitchenette, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a small terrace that offers a wonderful panorama of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Towards the end of April, the air still gets cold at night, so they lit a stove for us in one of the bedrooms, which was very cozy. The bedding and towels were wonderfully clean and fragrant, and the hosts were so kind and hospitable that words cannot describe. I've never met such eager hosts who didn't even know what to offer or how to make their guests' stay even better. I owe them a debt of gratitude that I cannot express in words. Another thing that comes to mind about words. Although they don't speak languages, they use all their strength to communicate with the visitor. They don't just want to express themselves, they want to understand the other persons. They are wonderful, respectable, and lovable people.

“Cozy house with great view and host”

It was amazing. The best thing that could have happened to me on a cold rainy day in Albania. I was welcomed warmly and with a tasty traditional meal. The host cared about me and I really felt that he wanted me to feel comfortable. I slept well. The view from the house and terrace over the ohrid lake is wonderful. I'd go there again!! Perfect for couples and even families.

This is a rather special place. Spectacular views over the lake from the balcony. Take the host made my stay here so very special. The hospitality is on another level. The home produced and home cooked food was really good. I would certainly return here again. A big thank you for the super Albanian experience..
