The couple that run the place are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The room was well presented, clean and air conditioned. We opted to eat there for dinner and the food (buffet) was fantastic. Great value for money and I definitely would also recommend to book your safari through them as they have a great Jeep and tour guide who was very informative and fun to take us through the national park.

This is a fantastic budget guest house run by the most friendly couple. Food is exceptional evening and breakfast. Rooms are incredibly clean and large. Location mins away from safari.

I was greeted upon arrival by the kind and professional staff. The location felt like the middle of nature, yet still close to Udawalawe. The room and bathroom was stunning, with all facilities there. I did a morning safari arranged by the hotel, would definitely recommend!

This hotel is truly magnificent. The room is spacious, the large swimming pool is the private bathroom which is open to the sky. The hotel organized my safari day. The meals were very generous and I had the best driver. The staff is very friendly.

We staying one night in udawalawe very cheap price for the room and safari. Owner was really nice people he organised by taxi value for money, also dinner and breakfast very delicious food.

The rooms weren’t huge but had aircon which was a bonus. The staff were so nice and helpful! You are able to have dinner here if you ask, we had fried rice which was nice. They arrange the safari which made it really easy

“A magical day!”

The room price is really cheap, because you are expected to book a safari, which is logical. The room is basic with 2 large beds, has a small fridge and all that you need. Aircon works good, which is nice because it can get pretty hot there. We booked the full day safari and I highly recommend everyone to do the same. The other options are simply to short to explore the park and dive into nature. Because we had a full day, we could leave the crowd behind and went deep into the park, where we were alone most of the time without seeing any other jeeps and therefore saw a lot of different animals very close. We even had a couple of encounters with lonely male elephants and a few females with babies that walked by just a few meters from us. This all because our driver knew the perfect spots to park and wait for the animals. This was so peaceful and relaxing that you could feel nature breathing around you. Notting like the craziness of the other safari jeeps that all stayed together and at the beginning of the park, driving around in circles. Our driver Dushan was amazing and if you can choose your driver, then do ask for him. He is kind, patient and you feel that he really cares about the animals and loves his job. He pointed out a dozen or more different birds, spotted a few crocodiles, we came a cross jakhals 3 times, can't remember how many times we saw spotted and brown deer, monitors, monkeys, buffalos etc etc. The hotel owners are also lovely people and the breakfast was very tasteful. There is a smal pool in case you want a refreshing dip after a long day spotting all kinds of wild animals. I will definitely go on a tour again with them and stay here.
