“Amazing dinner”
The design was very nice and the staff was very attentive. We felt looked after. Also being surrounding by so much nature was relaxing. Dinner was so tasty, we had rice with chicken curry and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Last, they helped us sort our safari with a very good rate - very happy with the service.

“Perfect stop for nature lovers”
The villa is beautifully located right by the lake, it’s just you and nature, with hardly any neighbors around, which makes it a perfect place to relax. There is a very nice swimming pool, and the cute dogs on the property make your stay even more enjoyable. The host is incredibly kind and helpful. He takes care of everything, prepares delicious breakfasts, and even organized a safari for us! Every time we had a question, he was always there to help and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was also very nice and comfortable. Overall, it’s a wonderful place for anyone who loves peace, nature, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. We highly recommend it as a perfect stop for 2–3 days to take a break from busy tourist areas and truly unwind.

It is a beautiful place, really calm and a little oasis far from everything. We were glad to not have stayed in the tourist spot near the Udawalwe National Park. You just have to know that the last 200 m of the road to the acoomodation is really, really bumpy and that getting or going from there by tuktuk might take some time. But the view across the lake, the calm and green surrounding and the space with a lounge and balcony was worth it for us. The pool is smaller than it might seem on the photos and the house more basic than you might expect from the photos but for us it was perfect and especially regarding the price for a family it was excellent! We spent our last 2 nights of the trip there and were very happy with it, for the kids it was a bit of an adventure, especially at night.

“Lovely, remote stay”
The property was beautiful in the middle of no where and was a perfect place to relax! It’s so peaceful, with a nice pool and we had a spacious room. Sameera, our host literally went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. He made us a fantastic homemade Sri Lankan meal and made us feel really welcome. Thank you!

“A very relaxing stay with plenty of nature”
A stunning location - great to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature overlooking the lake. Lots of different birds. So peaceful to sit and let the sun go down. The rooms are well appointed. A very delicious home cooked dinner.

Tsuru Villa is the perfect place for a relaxing stay. The peaceful location right by the lake creates a wonderful atmosphere, ideal for enjoying nature. The pool is beautiful and perfect for relaxation. The staff is really friendly and helpful, they are doing everything they can to make the stay unforgettable. Another highlight: the villa helps in organizing a safari. All in all, a highly recommended accommodation! We had a great time ☺️

“Incredible stay”
Amazing stay at Tsuru Villa! I cannot recommend this place enough, this secluded hotel provides beautiful views and stunning rooms. Our host Sameera went above and beyond to make our stay special and we didn’t want to leave this place! As the villa is fairly remote, we opted to eat at the property and the food was so delicious.

“An amazing villa nestled in a picturesque location.”
Absolutely love the location! Very quiet and perfect for relaxing. I was able to visit the Katharagama Temple as it isn’t too far from Tsuru Villa. The local food was delicious and getting to relax by the pool with a beautiful view of the lake and greenery was the cherry on top. The room I stayed in was very clean and well maintained with a nice balcony overlooking the lake with a superb breeze.

“Perfect place to relax surrounded by nature!”
We had an amazing time here at Tsuru Villa. The location is very nice and very good for bird watching. We got to see so many species of lake birds and even got the chance to feed a few peacocks in the garden. We were also able to visit the Ridiyagama safari park which is roughly an hours drive away. The staff were very friendly and the Sri Lankan food was really tasty. An amazing stay nonetheless.

Had a great time at Tsuru Villa! The highlight for me was the lake view, 10/10 for the location. Enjoyed some real Sri Lankan cuisine and the gent at the premise was very kind and supportive. The fact that I was able to visit Udawalawe National Park, made things even better. If you're a wildlife lover looking for a peaceful stay, this is the place since it gives a lovely blend. Things to note - The immediate road leading up to the villa requires a bit of work however. Apart from that since I was flying out from the Mattala Airport, things were very convenient. So underrated, 10/10 in terms of value for money & I'll defs visit again, thanks Tsuru Villa team for your hospitality!

My family had an amazing time at this beautiful hidden gem! The location was just gorgeous with a beautiful lake surrounded by trees. The room and bathroom were very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helped us with anything we needed. We got the chance to go on a safari in the morning and relax in the pool by the lake towards the evening. Definitely coming back!!

“Stunning location with a brilliant relaxed feel!”
Stunning location! Properly isolated and very peaceful. The room is big and spacious with a superb view of the lake and mountains. We had an amazing time here and got to relax and unwind with the family. The caretaker also really went out of his way to look after us. We also got the chance to go to Udawalawe national park and see elephants. Overall the trip was perfect especially at that price! I wish we could have stayed for more days but we have made plans to come again for a longer stay. A hidden Jewel!
