The facility is beautiful and very spacious. The meals they provide are one of the best food I had in Sri Lanka.

The accommodation was wonderful. The garden was large and peaceful — a perfect place to relax and unwind. The safari was also amazing; everything was explained and shown to us in detail. This was our favourite place to stay on this trip! Kasun and his wife were incredibly generous and accommodating. They were attentive and went the extra mile to make sure we had a memorable and personal stay. The food was fantastic- different dishes everyday with food sourced from his garden. We were invited into the kitchen to make our own curries for breakfast. The room was spotless with a good shower and air conditioning. The beautiful garden was great for bird spotting and very relaxing. Kasun took us out on safari, which was brilliant- he was very knowledgeable and clearly cared a lot about the animals. We saw several elephants amongst other things! And Kasun prepared a delicious breakfast of kottu for our trip. We cannot thank them enough for such a brilliant stay!

The cottage is situated in a beautiful backyard with mango trees, flowers and a lot of birds. The room is clean, modern and spacious. Kasun and his wife a great hosts who spoiled us with their delicious food. Kasun arranged a Safari for us which was great.

Kasun is an exceptional host, and from the moment we arrived, we felt extremely well taken care of. The cottage itself is beautiful, set in a stunning and peaceful garden. Everything is of very high quality: a very large and comfortable bed, clean bedding, a spacious and spotless bathroom, hot water, good Wi-Fi, and air conditioning for those who want it. The value for money is simply unbelievable — 33 USD for two nights including breakfast. We also booked a private safari through Kasun, and it was an outstanding experience. Compared to other options, the price was very reasonable, and the safari itself was absolutely incredible. Kasun and the jeep driver were extremely attentive and kind. The safari was initially planned from 5:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., but it actually lasted until 5:00 p.m. — they are not strict with time at all, their priority is clearly the guests’ satisfaction. The meals were another highlight of our stay. Kasun’s wife cooks divinely well — truly delicious food. She even asked us what we liked and prepared dishes based on our preferences. Breakfast was amazing, and we were also pleasantly surprised that laundry service was offered to us for free, which was a very thoughtful gesture. We have had many great experiences and encounters since the beginning of our trip in Sri Lanka, but this one truly stood out. We highly recommend this place and would return without hesitation. This place stays in our hearts. So beautiful and quiet. The breakfast was probably the best we ever had in Sri Lanka (served after the safari). The same to be said for the dinner we had after the arrival - absolutely fantastic! The host was so nice and friendly!! Do not waste your time on searching anything else. The room was really nice, great AC, very clean and lots of space. We stayed two nights and had an evening meal here which was excellent. The host Kasun, was super friendly and very helpful, he sorted out additional transport for us as well as our safari, which we greatly enjoyed. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The luxury feel of the accommodation and grounds, exceptional. The hosts obliging in every way, organised and served a delicious and plentiful evening meal...went out of their way to meet all our requirements..we were treated like royalty. The safari tour they arranged was fantastic... highly recommend, We did dawn safari, where host woke us up 5.30am with tea/coffee and light snack and gave us water and bananas for the safari which was followed by elephant sanctuary visit, after we specially requested it, and we managed to catch elephant feeding time. After all this, came back to a huge delicious breakfast. You will not regret booking this place. Highly recommended.

Private and surrounded by lovely gardens, this property is run by a wonderful young couple who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The bungalow was spotless and the verandah a tranquil place to relax. And the breakfasts - amazing!

This place is INCREDIBLE!! Kasun the owner is one of the nicest guys ever - so kind, helpful and goes above and beyond to assist in every need. Watermelon on arrival, fresh coconut on departure, organised safari, prepared yummy breakfast included in the price, relaxed check out timing....the list goes on! The villa was stunning, way better than the pictures. The garden is stunning and my son loved running around discovering all the plants, wildlife and fruits. “Absolutely fantastic accommodation in Udawalawe”

This was the best accommodation we’ve had so far in Sri Lanka. The room is spacious, nicely furnished, and very clean. From the terrace, you have a view of the beautifully landscaped garden. The owner is one of the nicest people we’ve met in Sri Lanka! He organized a half-day safari to the national park for us. Breakfast and dinner were excellent every day, and he even gave us a ride to the bus stop so we could continue our journey to Ella. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Udawalawe, I can wholeheartedly recommend this one!
