The owner was really taking care of us. He texted everyday if we need anything. The room is very big and garden is super nice to relax next to the river. We arranged the safari via hotel and the price was good and we were very happy with our driver

“Quick night for a safari”

Who me búfalo w with immense room and sitting area. The bungalow has it’s own private terrace with chairs overlooking a small river. Very confortable beds, AC and hot water. No good wifi (Either from the hotel nor good signal from own personal phone with local SIM card). You’re in nature, enjoy the peace ! Food was simple but well prepared and tasty, served in covered exterior dining area by the very amicable Wishwa. The place has only 2 bungalows. Excellent Whatsapp communication with the owner Manoj who arranged a 1/2 day safari for us at 18,000 LKR + Entrance fee to Park (22,000 LKR) for 2. Not cheap but we really enjoyed the tour and driver/guide. Price would have been the same for more people for the jeep and driver. Great garden that we couldn’t really enjoy because of late arrival and early departure.

“Best stay ever.”

What an amazing secluded place in the heart of the jungle! We had the entire place to ourselves for our 2 night stay and we had the best time. There’s so many beautiful birds around and we were so lucky to see many monkeys, even in the grounds of the hotel!! Our host Vishwa looked after us so well. He made incredible tasting food and took us to the nearby Elephant orphanage for a very small fee. The entry to the orphanage was fairly cheap also and it was lovely to see the baby elephants fed! We went on safari on our first morning and that was the best experience ever. Vishwa prepared us a delicious packed breakfast and we ate it with the elephants inside the Udawalawe national park which was such an incredible experience. Out of all the places I have visited in Sri Lanka this is by far my favourite. And I do hope I can return again soon. Vishwa also drove us to our next destination for a fair price so getting around is not a problem from the remote location.

We had a wonderful stay at Nil Bawana. The house is huge and has a wonderful terrace. Welcome Drinks were a nice touch. The house is surrounded by jungle and we could spot beautiful exotic birds. Due to its location and peaceful surrounding it feels very exclusive. Dinner was yummy. The Safari that the accommodation organised was super! We saw so many elephants. Driver was friendly. Loved it! They also were so kind to help us with transportation to our next destination for a good price. We enjoyed everything to the fullest.

Individual chalets with very spacious, clean bedroom with 2 beds, (1 twin 1 double), a large sitting room, small bathroom, patio to sit outside. large and tasty dinner served at the outdoor dining room. Host was easy to contact on WA.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The food was absolutely delicious and the owner goes above and beyond to make your stay amazing. He helped us to book a half day safari tour with an amazing guide. We had really nice chats with him and a really good stay. The property is beautiful.
