“Peaceful Lakeview Cabana getaway”

We had an excellent stay at this Lakeview Cabana and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The room and bathroom were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing environment throughout our visit. The Wi-Fi connection was reliable and worked well during our stay. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and offered a great variety of flavors that we truly enjoyed. The owner was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always available to assist with anything we needed, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. One of the best parts of our stay was the safari experience arranged by the property. It was perfectly organized, and we were fortunate to see many elephants and other wildlife in their natural surroundings, creating unforgettable memories. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, excellent hospitality, and outstanding service made this a truly special place to stay. We highly recommend Lakeview Cabana to anyone looking for a comfortable getaway, delicious food, and an amazing safari experience. We would happily return again in the future.

“Excellent stay in Udawalawe.”

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cabana and honestly it is one of the best places we have ever visited. The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful nature with peaceful lake views that create a perfect relaxing atmosphere. The cabana itself is clean, comfortable, and very well maintained, giving a private and cozy feeling throughout the stay. The food was amazing—fresh, tasty, and beautifully prepared. Every meal felt special and added to the overall experience. One of the highlights was the safari experience arranged by the owner. It was exciting, well organized, and truly unforgettable. We also really enjoyed the kayaking, which was safe, fun, and especially great for children to experience and enjoy the lake. The owner was extremely kind, friendly, and always helpful. His hospitality made us feel very welcome and comfortable from the beginning to the end of our stay. He truly goes above and beyond to make sure guests have a perfect experience. Overall, this is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway with nature, adventure, great food, and excellent hospitality. We would highly recommend it to anyone and would definitely love to come back again!

“Little paradise”

We have just returned from our stay at Aliya Lake Forest Cabana – and it truly felt like a little paradise. Nestled by a small lake, this place is incredibly peaceful and full of warmth. It’s the perfect spot to slow down, relax, and simply listen to the sounds of nature. But what made our stay truly unforgettable was the family. We felt so genuinely welcome – almost like being at home. You can feel that this place has been created with so much love and heart in every detail. The cabana itself is very clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. We were lovingly taken care of – the mother prepared delicious meals for us, and the daughter looked after us with such kindness and attention. While many travelers use this place as a base for a safari, it is so much more than that. We would highly recommend staying longer to truly experience the peace and special atmosphere of this place. A heartfelt thank you to Lasantha and his wonderful family – we will always remember this stay.

Beautiful complex, well suited as a starting point for safaris. The restaurant serves delicious food at all times. Highly recommended for one or two nights - rather not suitable for a longer stay, as not much can be done except safaris

The informative staff at the front desk assisted us with booking Our 5:30am, 5 and half hours safari tour that afforded us the opportunity to watch the sun rise over Udawalawe park to the soundtrack of bird song. Our excellent guide, pointed out a ton of animals with his eagle eyes

Spotless rooms and bathrooms, a lovely garden, and delicious homemade food made our stay perfect. The owner’s hospitality was exceptional, and the safari was truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for a peaceful nature retreat!

Our stay at Nature Lovers Safari Resort was beyond incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family by the wonderful owners, who went out of their way to make our experience unforgettable. Their kindness and hospitality truly set this place apart! The cottages were clean, spacious, and beautifully designed to blend with nature. The beds were comfortable. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious! Every dish was fresh, full of flavor, and made with love. Whether it was traditional Sri Lankan cuisine or a customized meal, everything was prepared to perfection. The resort arranged the best safari tour for us! Our guide was knowledgeable, and we got to see elephants, crocodiles, buffalo, and even a leopard up close. It was an unforgettable adventure, made even better by the seamless organization from the resort. If you're looking for a peaceful escape with great food, clean & cozy rooms, and the best safari experience in Udawalawe, this is the place to be! “Brilliant place to stay”

Brilliant service and rooms. Rooms were large with Air con and WiFi. Very clean also. Breakfast and check out was avalible later after our Safari. Breakfast was a Sri lankan tradition of String hoppers and bread. Hotel owner also very helpful with public transport options and map looking! Would 100% recommend the accomodation. I would ask for instructions on how to find the location as Google does not recommend the address. There is however a sign off the main street for the accomodation.
