Beautiful location and outlook, clean rooms and pool, restaurant was excellent. Host was the nicest gentleman we have met along our travels - genuine and lovely. Safari organised on site and a very attentive driver to identify animals.

This is a little gem tucked away with wonderful owners, great home cooking and delightful environment. We like the down to earth comfort and the pool is lovely. Cold beers by the pool, the curry dinner was delcious and the sense of warmth from the family is lovely. We chose this place so it would be close to do our Elephant Safri with udawalaweethicalsafari and it was a good decision. It's a cost effective and wonderful place to stay.

We loved The Nature House! Set back well off the busy road and surrounded by jungle this family run boutique hotel is a gem! The rooms are large and stylish and the common areas are spotless with lovely loungers on the verandahs. The whole place speaks of the owners many years of hospitality experience. Thilak was charming and efficient. If you want a relaxing and well run base in Udawalawe you should book The Nature House.

The property was incredible, and the rooms were absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend staying here. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, and the food was both lovely and refreshing. The amenities were perfect, and I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Fantastic location, gorgeous setting in the jungle where you can see wildlife from the rooms and the pool! Beautiful pool, comfortable room, and the food was fantastic. Short walk to the elephant transit home. Staff were amazing, we had a wonderful stay 😊

- No need to go anywhere off site as it had all the facilities. - Worth checking our the Baby Elephant Sanctuary nearby. - Staff were very friendly and the elephant tour was amazing.

“Beautiful serene location”

The location of this place was stunning and the pool was really lovely. All of the staff were so nice and helpful and the dinners were delicious in the evenings. We did their 4 hour safari tour in the park and it was really great value and an amazing experience!

We had a wonderful stay if only for a night sadly. The dinner and breakfast were fantastic and plentiful, our room was comfortable, internet was great, pool was large and spotless, the location was just wonderful and the family run business and staff were so welcoming and helpful in every way. “Amazing all around experience!”

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Nature House! When we arrived, we were greeted by our kind, welcoming host (Thilak), who then showed us to our rooms whilst also helpfully bringing up our cases. Our rooms had functional air conditioning, which helped us to cool down after a long day. There were many top quality facilities at Nature House, including a large swimming pool with sunbeds all around for towels (supplied) and general relaxing. There was also a wonderful restaurant which we enjoyed dinner and breakfast at during our stay, there was a variety of foods and drinks served and the polite waiting staff ensured that everyone had something they enjoyed! The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable to sleep in, and there was a helpful net that kept any insects out. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, and all in all, we had an amazing stay!

We had the most amazing stay at nature house. The hotel owner is so lovely and so helpful! We did the safari via the hotel which was very good. The dinner and breakfast was delicious. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. An all round amazing stay!!!

The staff were incredible, they couldn’t do enough for us and made our stay! Beautiful hotel, pool and delicious food.

I don’t remember the last time I gave a 10/10 reviews… This was an exceptional experience. They went out of their way to cater for every need, from organizing safaris and transfers to providing bananas. You should stay here if you are in the area. Gorgeous pool with jungle views. Comfortable bed. Delicious and plentiful breakfast. Also very good dinner (we had the a la carte menu). Good pillows and bed. Very good communication. We did morning and evening safari with them and were very happy with the guide (the evening is 100% better if you only have time for one). We also used their transport service to Weligama, which was very good, too. Bring a mosquito repellent.

Rooms were spacious with balconies overlooking a forest setting with nice bird song. Pool was very clean. Host is delightful, genuinely interested in getting to know his guests and speaks fluent English & German. We booked our safari directly with Nature House.

“Paradise next to nature”

Stunning property with very nice pool, relaxing vibe. The room was great, mosquito net, fan and AC. Buffet dinner was delicious. Staff very nice and helpful. The Safari they arranged was really good, very knowledgeable guide, we’ve seen plenty of Elephants but also many other species.

Everything was excellent. The hotel has its own safari jeep and the driver was very good at spotting animals. The hotel included a breakfast and lunch with the safari. Lovely comfortable bed and pillows. Swimming pool clean and great to relax in. Breakfast and dinner were both very good and highly recommended!
