Spacious, comfortable and very accommodating for last minute room booking. The owners and staff fed us with a good free sri lankan breakfast and accommodated our other safari plans. Rooms were comfortable, bathroom was a bit humid with little ventilation but room itself was great with a mosquito net.

“Warm Hospitality and Great Safari Experience”

We had an enjoyable stay and felt warmly welcomed throughout our time there. The pool area was beautifully designed and perfect for relaxing after excursions and safaris. A big highlight was the possibility to organize safaris directly through the property, which was very convenient and well arranged. We also enjoyed the delicious dinner served at the accommodation. The rooms were simple but practical and comfortable for our stay, and the breakfast was good and absolutely sufficient to start the day. The value for money was excellent. A lovely place with genuine hospitality and a relaxing atmosphere.

“Super property, great host, very comfortable”

Super location and facilities. Great water pressure in the loos which is a real unusual thing in Sri Lanka. Rooms are so spacious and clean. Max looked after us very well and his mum made delicious Sri Lankan dinners and breakfasts. He took us for the Udawalawe tour. He also arranged the Ridiyagama Safari Park tour which is a nice outing for half a day especially with children. Would love to stay here if we visit SL again

Such a cozy and very clean villa with a pool ✨ The owners made me feel truly at home. Thank you Sir ( name forgot to ask, could be Max) and Madams for such a wonderful 1 day stay and for welcoming me like family. Everything was perfectly organized, including the safari and taxi, so I could just relax and enjoy. As a solo traveler, I highly recommend this place without any doubts. - Really nice pool with a separate shallow area for kids – perfect for families. Also the beautiful garden area, ideal for relaxing - The safari was well organized and offered at a fair price, same for the transport to and from the accommodation - Amazing outdoor shower – definitely a highlight for us - Breakfast was good, and we also enjoyed the homemade dinner

“Great place to stay for the safari, with it all organised for you”

Highly recommend staying here for the safari! Villa is nice, with a great pool and a lovely dinner. Max organises the safari and our guide was great (it's hard to articulate, but he was obviously better than some of the other guides, as he always seemed to be in the right place at the right time!) Max is also a very helpful and genuine host!

We loved our stay here, our host Max was so welcoming and helpful, he helped us organise our safari which was well worth the money. The food was delicious, some of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Close to town and a lovely little place to hang out round the pool Comfy room with air con and mosquito nets

An incredibly welcoming family-owned home stay. Mary helped us to book a safari, a taxi to our next stop as well as providing a delicious breakfast. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Would highly recommend.

“Wonderful and easy”

Beautiful family and helped with Tuk tuks when required. The breakfast and dinners were authentic and delicious. They organised a safari to the national park. Also good aircon and pool as we had some very hot days.

This was really a nice place! I love the little cottige we stay in. Big bathroom to. Clean and fresh! Max fix the jeep/safari for us with very nice driver! We love that we got Sri Lankan breakfast and Dinner. Thanks to Max and his personal! Serviceminded and smile make us feel welcome!

Semplicemente super!!

We loved our stay at Max Safari Villa. Max himself was a great host and was so helpful with us making plans. He just wanted us to enjoy our stay and our day of Safari. Before we booked we dint realise we could book through the accommodation so went with someone else but we heard very good things about Max’s Safari and he has an experienced team. The food was also incredible - had a lovely dinner and breakfast.
