Super friendly staff who arranged everything for us; safari, tuk tuk into town etc. Very clean property and excellent value for money. Quite far from anything so arrive with any supplies you need.

“Peaceful and super friendly place to stay”

Beautiful property in the jungle. Gardens and pool were beautiful and the room was big and clean. Lots of space and the view from the balcony was so peaceful. Most of all the staff were just wonderful. We were travelling with our baby and they were so beautiful and kind to him, always wanting to play and smile with him.

Amazing property with clean and well aerated bedrooms and bathrooms. Friendly staff and great food. Excellent location. Can walk to nearby lake for bird watching which is another advantage. Awesome swimming pool with fresh water. The entire property is well maintained. Relaxed and comfortable stay.

Staff went out of their way to look after us. We arrived in the middle of torrential downpour and they helped us to settle in despite some power cuts and needing to access power through the generator. Once the rain stopped everything ran as normal. Rooms spacious and well equipped. Staff assisted us to book a tour and provide breakfast before we went. Food was great!

Very warm welcome from the Hotel Manager, the rooms were so comfortable, with a beautiful view of the jungle. While we only had a short stay we loved our time here. It was so close to the National park which made the safari in the morning nice and easy. Including a good coffee before heading off early. We were travelling with young kids and the engagement with them was exceptional.

Attentive staff, good communication to pre arrange a driver then excellent safari with Lasar. 2 bed apt was very comfortable, pool clean, meals excellent, good coffee.

The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, very good shower, both air conditioning and ceiling fan in the room, and a big terrace. Loved the pancakes and ice cream for dessert

I am a discerning traveller and my friend and I were extremely impressed with this property. What made it so wonderful were the staff - probably the loveliest we have had in Sri Lanka, truly exceptional. Our 2 bed apartment was perfect - remember this is not a LUXURY 5 star hotel, you are in the Jungle! Meals were great, we pre-arranged a morning Safari and it was excellent. Highly recommend - support them!

We booked two rooms and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately we only stayed one night, but would have loved to stay more. The location was very peaceful, with a balcony view into the jungle. The rooms were spotless and well kept and the bathrooms were huge and clean. But most importantly, the staff were amazing. From the moment we got out of our car, they were super attentive and made sure everything was perfect. They also organised our safari for us, and the jeep came to pick us up in the morning. As we would miss the breakfast time due to the safari, the staff kindly boxed up our breakfast packs. We really enjoyed our stay and would 100% recommend it to others. Thank you so much.

Amazing facilities and wonderful staff!

Our stay at Jungle Paradise was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly, chatty and helpful and our room was extremely clean and comfortable with a gorgeous balcony overlooking the jungle. We arranged our Safari through the hotel and had an exceptional experience with our driver Lasa who knew the animals and park inside out and had us up close and personal with so much wildlife - it was an experience to never forget! The local curry at the restaurant was also memorable as was all the food. Simply cannot fault this place! Thanks to all the staff :)

“An excellent stay in Udawalawe!”

We had a wonderful stay at Jungle Paradise Hotel near Udawalawe. After arriving and being welcomed with some refreshing drinks, we had lunch before checking into our the deluxe apartment. The room was fantastic and very spacious, which worked perfectly for our family. We had some heavy rain in the afternoon and it was relaxing sitting in the apartment listening to the rain and thunder outside while enjoying the peaceful jungle surroundings. Afterwards we spent some time swimming in the pool at night, which was a great experience with the warm air and stars above. The location is great if you’re visiting the nearby safari park and attractions. During our stay we visited the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home, where we were able to watch juvenile elephants being fed by staff. Sitting about 30 metres away, it was amazing to see them come running for their milk, trumpeting as they approached. It was a really special experience and a highlight of our time in the area. Dinner at the hotel was very good, with generous portions. We had kottu and rice and curry, and there was so much food that we couldn’t even finish it all. We booked an early morning safari in Udawalawe National Park through the hotel and it was amazing, the driver was professional and was able to point out animals well before we saw them. Upon our return to the hotel, we were served breakfast, which was a mix of local and western options. We tried a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast with string hoppers, red rice, coconut sambal, eggs and dhal curry, while the kids enjoyed toast, eggs and fresh fruit. We really loved our stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food was great, and the location makes it an excellent base for visiting Udawalawe National Park and the Elephant Transit Home. We would recommend this to anyone visiting the area, specially with a family!

The location is very close the national park for easy access. It’s set in the beautiful jungle surroundings which is magical. The staff were very attentive and made sure we were comfortable for our stay. The pool is a great bonus.
