This property was central and the staff were lovely and helpful.

The host was super nice and we had some great talks with her over breakfast and dinner. The family apartment was super for our family of 4, with two separate bedrooms. We also liked the pool a lot and the basketball was great fun to play with. The host also helped us with transport to and from the hotel and safari all with great service and prices. We can highly recommend Ibis especially for its hospitality. And great dinners which were organized for us to eat at the hotel given we have a baby which went to bed early.

It was a lovely little resort with a small pool that our children enjoyed for several hours. The owner prepared a delicious Sri Lankan dinner and arranged everything for our safari the next morning. After the safari, we were able to have breakfast and freshen up before continuing to our next destination. The owner was very kind and helpful when our little one wasn’t feeling well, providing medicine and ginger tea. She also arranged a driver for us. Thank you once again for the wonderful hospitality!

Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Large lounge area in our room, hot water and a very comfy bed. Swimming pool was a real luxury to cool down with after a big day in the sun.

The host is very friendly. The pool is nice and the apartment we had was very spacious. Two bedrooms, one living room, two bathrooms, two toilets and one kitchen! Dinner was good and breakfast was nice. When we left for an early safari, the host prepared us a breakfast to take with us.

Big room with two AC units. The hotel helped us organize an amazing safari and provided a take away safari breakfast very early in the morning. Good pool and the staff were very friendly and spoke good English. We could choose western or Sri Lankan breakfast.

The hosts were fabulous and couldn't do enough, and the meals (we ate there) were also very good, plentiful and excellent value.

“Perfect for families”

After arriving at a booking that did not meet our expectations, we had a quick reshuffle and found Ibis. It was a very last minute booking so when we arrived the rooms were still being cleaned. During this time we were greeted with hospitality and welcome drinks. Our rooms were perfect for our needs and the clean pool was an added bonus. Our host Saranga was exceptional, and there for our every need.

“Welcoming Ibis”

We are Paola and Silvano from Italy, travelling through Sri Lanka by bicycle. We spent three nights at Ibis and were welcomed by Sarangha as if we were family. Sarangha and her husband Sarath are very kind and helpful people, always smiling. Sarangha took care of us with grace and kindness, always ready to respond to every need, from the tuk tuk to the safari. The most important thing is that she told us that she could organize it for us at a good price (excluding the entrance ticket to the park) but without any obligation, initially we did not want to organize it and instead, after visiting the Elephant Transit Home, we changed our minds, it was an excellent choice and also the person who accompanied us was kind and trustworthy. We also had dinner at Ibis, very tasty home made meals and also a good breakfast. The room was confortable clean and spacious, we chose the one at ground floor, but there are also at the first floor with balcony. We also could do the laundry. We didn't use the pool, but it's very scenic and relaxing even if you don't want to swim. We also had some time to talk with Sarangha and Sarath and it was really interesting share some experiences with this lovely family. Thank you very much for everything!

Lovely 2 bedroom apartment style place! A short tuk tuk away from the elephant orphanage et al. Nice little pool! Very accommodating hosts and a nice breakfast. The only place that let us stay without booking a safari tour!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at IBIS, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations in every way.The location is fantastic, close to all major facilities and very easily accessible. The property is immaculately maintained by the owner and his wife, who clearly take great pride in ensuring a tidy and clean environment.The service, cleanliness, and meals were all top-notch, far surpassing what I anticipated. The staff was incredibly supportive and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. They even helped arrange a safari for us at a very reasonable price, which was a wonderful experience. One of the highlights of the stay was their lovely swimming pool, which was clean and well-maintained. The place is not crowded, allowing us to enjoy a calm and serene environment throughout our stay. It’s clear they strive to create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for their guests. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional service, a welcoming atmosphere, and great value for money. I’ll definitely return on my next visit!

“Feels like home”

The rooms are very spacious and furnished as normal rooms. It felt much more like a flat than a hotel room. The washroom was super clean, as well as the whole hotel. The swimming pool was very clean and inviting. We had a last minute check in after another accommodation scammed us and all was ready. The host was really nice and helpful. She offers a jeep for a safari for a fair price.
