Wonderful stay from start to finish. Booked half board and afternoon safari. The food was the absolute star. For dinner they prepared a buffet for us and another couple and we also got a soup and a dessert. Really delicious! Breakfast was just as good with many different varieties that we had not tried before and enjoyed. The room was large with a very nice bathroom.

“Great fo safari stop”
Location is awesome - right in the bush with peacocks all around it. Staff were great. We had a power shortage due to the harsh weather and owner arrange the generator so we can have the power throughout our stay. Great breakfast

“Peaceful, relaxing stay surrounded by jungle and gardens”
The couple that run the resort were lovely and helped us out with everything we needed, including getting laundry done. We booked a 4 hour safari morning tour with them and it was amazing! The guide spoke English really well and took us to the parts of the park that didn’t have as many other jeeps around for quiet time with the beautiful elephants. We had dinner and breakfast at the property, it was very tasty and good price! Our room looked out into the jungle and was so peaceful.

“An ideal place to stay for visiting Udawalawe national park with delicious Sri Lankan food and wonderful hosts”
The accommodation was modern spacious and comfortable in a beautiful location. Our terrace had a beautiful view through the trees. The food was delicious with different Sri Lankan curries each night and fabulous breakfasts. The owners were lovely, responding immediately to any request and organising an excellent safari with a very good guide who spoke excellent English. A superb place to stay for visiting Uduwalawe national park

“For those loving kindness, great food, no stress & watching animals in a respectful way”
Extremly relaxing, just as their logo. Our fantastic hosts arranged everything for us. Airport pick up, Safari with breakfast in the National park, birdwatching tour and gave us good advices throughout our stay. If you are interested in animals we strongly recommend the 7h tour arranged by the hosts. If you are interested in birds you can just hang out in the hotel and also join a birthwatching tour. The guide is very good in species, friendly and took us to remote places were we could wait for elephants and other animals to show up. It was a short walk to the Elephant transit home from the hotel. The city of Udawalawe is also very relaxed and people are so friendly. Breakfast and dinner was delicious and we felt so welcome all the time - the hosts are really amazing.

“Upgraded to family suite - spacious, with great balcony”
They very kindly upgraded us because some work was being done near our original room. We were given the family suite instead, which was very spacious. They gave us complimentary drinks on arrival; very kind of them - and very delicious! The balcony was our favourite feature. It overlooks a forested area, and we saw many different birds and reptiles. It is lovely to sit out there with a book and enjoy the breeze. The beds are comfortable, with proper duvets instead of just a flat sheet for cover while sleeping.

The rooms were modern, spacious and clean. The host and his wife were simply wonderful and accommodating. The authentic Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing, a must try. Dinner though traditional was altered to suit our non spicy palates.

Green View is a wonderful haven. Huge immaculately clean room with 3 double beds for 3 of us. Each bed had its own mosquito net. Jayalath and Prasansha were so welcoming and friendly. They organised a private jeep for our safari the next morning. It was all so easy.They prepared us a delicious array of dishes for our dinner which were all yummy. On our return from the safari, they had prepared a huge breakfast for us. Green View is a lovely place to stay with the most welcoming hosts. Highly recommended.

The elephant family villa had three four poster beds with mosquito nets. We got a very lovely welcome drink on arrival and the breakfast and dinner is delicious. It is near the elephant transit home which is definitely worth doing and there is also a safari available. There is a nice seating area on the back of the villa with view into the teak forest. The hosts are lovely and very helpful. This place is excellent value for money.
