The people made us feel so welcome, the breakfast was amazing and everyone was so kind

Janith the host, very welcoming and friendly. He arranged everything for us including safari, suggested good places for food and provided everything we asked for, the breakfast was good and he even helped us in taking us to the supermarket and atm when we needed. The rooms were neat and clean, location is good just 10 minutes from safari and couple of decent restaurants nearby, overall we liked the place and would recommend for anyone looking for stay in udawalawa

“Great experience”

I stayed only one night, but it was excellent. The room is very beautiful, spacious, and quiet, and the bed is comfortable. My host also offers safari tours, so I joined the 4 hour afternoon program and I loved it. It was a great experience, and I saw so many animals. The next day, he also took me to the bus station. I really recommend this villa.

Lovely small homestay, extremely comfortable and very well furnished. Large modern bathroom, very good shower. Very nice breakfast. Host was great, very friendly and helpful and we had a great stay.

Large and clean room, located right on the edge of the forest. We could watch monkeys playing in the trees from our room! We organised our safari directly through the accomodation and we had the best time, with our driver being very knowledgeable about local wildlife and spotting things that we so hard to see. There are some cafes and restaurants within walking distance too although the walk is along the main road. Overall this stay was exceptional value for moneys

The property was very clean, just like the photos. The host was very nice as well. He was very helpful and friendly. He took us to the safari to the national park. Though we were vegetarian, the breakfast options felt less. The overall experience was amazing.

Fantastic little place. So clean and comfortable. The family who own it were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The patio area was great for monkey watching! We took the safari tour organised for us from the owners and was truly amazing...we even had a gorgeous breakfast provided whilst on the safari, which was delicious. Thank you so much for our stay and safari, it was the highlight of our visit to sri lanka. 🇱🇰

Amazing location, amazing facilities, amazing breakfast, amazing people!! The villa itself is of modern design and build, with spacious rooms, excellent shower facilities, good tv and all while watching the forest from the window! We arrived early and the owner took us straight to the room and we were offered a welcome drink. Breakfast was delicious and is made by the whole family. I would highly recommend doing the Udawalawe safari through them, as the owners son is an extremely good guide and will make sure you get the best experience. I suggest doing the 6hr safari, which includes a breakfast within the park with amazing views. On our return we were offered two complimentary king coconuts to help us stay hydrated We will definitely be staying again!

I loved everything, the place was sooo comfortable, the bed was amazing. It was spotless, so so clean. They left a hair dryer and shampoo and conditioner and shower gel, which I loved. We could see the jungle from our bed. The food was delicious and the owner was so lovely and friendly and not one bit pushy, I wish we could have stayed longer. Overall comfortable and relaxing experience.

We had a terrific stay here and would thoroughly recommend it — everything was absolutely on point. The hosts were very friendly, helpful, and considerate, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The rooms were large and very clean, with very comfortable beds, great air-conditioning, a new mosquito net, quiet ceiling fan, and comfortable chairs. The ensuite bathroom was like new, spacious, and spotless, with the best hot water we’ve experienced in Sri Lanka so far. There is a lovely front verandah and a rear balcony overlooking the jungle. We regularly saw monkeys and the local mongoose, which was a real highlight. They have their own safari trucks, making trips to Udawalawe very easy. Pick-up was right outside, and it was just the two of us in a six-person truck with an excellent, eagle-eyed driver who spotted everything. We saw so many elephants, birds, and other animals — highly recommended. Breakfast in the morning was very good and a great way to start the day.

The rooms are spacious and very clean, with a beautiful view on the forest. There are all the amenities we needed. Breakfast is great. Location is nice, 10 min from park entrance and walking distance from some nice reastaurant spots. But best part of the stay were the owners: they organized and drove us during the safari, searching for less crowded spots. They’ve also been extremely helpful in arranging our transfers from the airport and to our next stop. This place is a gem, highly recommended!

Amazing breakfast

The place is amazing, with a lush jungle garden. The room is spotless, and the beds are extremely comfortable. During our stay, we were visited by monkeys from the area, and we also saw squirrels in the trees and gecko lizards — an absolutely amazing experience! We also booked a safari through the owner, which was very well organized and highly recommended. The breakfast was very rich and extremely delicious. The hosts are warm, welcoming, and truly hospitable.
