“Amazing”

One of the best places we stayed on our trip to Sri lanka. Make sure to book safari with Rajitha he is located in the property - best expierince. Restaurant serves nice food and makes amazing margaritas.

We had a fabulous stay here in one of the chalets which was spacious and had great air conditioning. Staff were very warm and welcoming and helped us with whatever we needed. We also booked a safari with them and Rajitha was an excellent guide. No complaints with the food and the pool was always kept clean. Definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting the area!

Secluded oasis in the jungle. Incredible value for money we felt like we were at a luxury property. Breakfast was great, though not many western options mostly spicy items. We did get eggs made to order which was great :) Pool was sweet, room was great, you could see fireflies in the night.

Gorgeous setting. Stayed in an en- suite tented tree house with a lovely balcony. Nice pool and restaurant there too. They organised a safari for us and we saw lots if elephants. Families with youngsters as well. Absolutely brilliant!

“A truly special stay in Udawalawe, perfect for families”

We stayed at Ele Camp in Udawalawe over Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and it was absolutely incredible. We had one of the larger family rooms on the top floor, which was stunning, spotless, and full of space. There were three beds, two doubles and one extra-large double. The spiral staircase up to the room is gorgeous and covered in plants, though a bit tricky with small children. It was Christmas when we stayed, and the festive touches were brilliant. The Christmas buffet was delicious, and someone dressed as Santa Claus, which our kids loved. Ele Camp organized tickets for us to visit the Elephant Transit Home in the afternoon, which was magical, and our Boxing Day private jeep safari was unforgettable. We saw elephants up close, monkeys, birds, and even crocodiles. The food was freshly prepared, tasty, and they were fantastic at catering for my son’s food allergies, even making him a Sri Lankan chicken curry that he loved so much he had two portions. The pool is a great size and super fun for the kids, and we enjoyed some fantastic cocktails, especially the Arrack Sour, and a cold Lion beer after a long morning. Ele Camp also offers cooking classes, which looked fantastic and something we would love to try next time. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. Ele Camp felt luxurious yet relaxed and family-friendly. We can’t recommend it highly enough and would absolutely stay here again.

“Serene stay in the jungle”

We had such a wonderful stay in one of the glamping tents here. The staff were incredibly accommodating, and one of the nights they brought our food down to our balcony and we ate there. The Sri Lankan food being 10/10 delicious. It was so peaceful and there’s a gorgeous resident dog who joined us on our balcony. The hotel booked us a private safari into Udawalawe national park which was the most incredible experience seeing so many elephants up close!

Great location! Right next to Udawalawe National Park. Easy to visit the park for safari kindly arranged by the hotel & also easy to visit the Elephant Transit Home. The pool area is great for relaxing after an early morning safari.

We stayed in the tree cabins and did not liked the structure of the washrooms The cabins are between lot of trees and the washrooms has quite a lot of open spaces . So entire time it was quite scary going to washroom

Perfect location for safari, feels like a jungle oasis hidden away. Incredible value for money, the rooms were much more modern and spacious in person

I really liked this place and will return. The rooms are lovely, the location is great - not far from the park entrance yet really quiet. They have an attractive bar and restaurant where the food and drink prices are reasonable. The staff are kind, welcoming and helpful. The place has the air of a much more expensive establishment; the price is high enough, it's not cheap-end, but it is good value compared to other places in the area. There's also a nice pool and a gorgeous little dog and kitten which I assume (hope) they look after.

Awesome place for a well organised safari. Very tasty buffet evening meal. Lovely pool. Memorable stay. Thank you! Also recommend feeding time at the Elephant transit home close by.

Lovely sized rooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly. And we ate the best Kottu that we had in the whole of Sri Lanka here. 😋

The staff were welcoming and friendly the room was cleaned well daily and the swimming pool was great to relax. They also, planned the safari for us which went really smoothly and would highly recommend.
