Very big and nice rooms. Really good pool for kids - with both shallow and deep water for adults. Staff is very friendly, they are also very flexible with breakfast on the day of safari visit.

The staff were exceptional. The rooms a bit basic but you certainly got a Safari feel here at Doola River. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed meals in the open air restaurant, spent lots of time in the pool and enjoyed the gardens with their beautiful plants. The Uda Walawe National Parkn is only a short drive away.

The gardens, playground and pool are very well maintained. The Hotel is great for kids. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable.

The setting is lovely, right by the river with beautiful natural surroundings that make it feel peaceful and secluded. Waking up to the sound of the water and greenery all around was one of the highlights of our trip. So many fascinating animals too! The property itself is very well maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed to blend with the environment. The rooms were comfortable and cosy, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It’s the perfect place to unwind and switch off from busy daily life. What really stood out was the atmosphere and hospitality. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The food was decent and enjoyable, though not quite at the same level as the rest of the experience. Still, it didn’t take away from what was otherwise an amazing stay. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend Doola River Edge to anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway.

“We had a fantastic stay. We stayed two nights but would have loved to stay longer!”

The rooms were the cleanest we've seen in Sri Lanka and very spacious. The kids loved the big pool. The food was also really amazing, especially dinner, the best we had in Sri Lanka. We went out for dinner one night and regretted it, because the food at the hotel was really the best and not expensive at all.The staff was very knowledgeable, hospitable, and friendly. Special thanks to Hasanthi, who always welcomed us to the restaurant with a smile and made sure we and our children were well cared for. Even with a wound on her foot, she kept running back and forth all day serving food and drinks. Respect!
