Lovely staff, very helpful and welcoming. This is a small family run hotel and therefore won’t have all the facilities of a large multinational however there was nothing missing for us. Which is exactly what we wanted. We loved it and would definitely recommend it for a warm welcome and great location

“An oasis in Rajasthan.”

We were coming to the end of our 1 month expedition through India. It was hot and I saw the picture of the pool and thought, Okay this could work - a bit of respite from the April Rajasthan heat. We got dropped off in the taxi and were met by the very friendly staff. We did the paperwork and walked through the lobby - Boom! a beautiful crystal clear pool! Our daughter - whom we surprised, was over the moon. The rooms were spacious and clean and the bathroom was perfect. Modern and a great shower. The grounds were beautiful - grassed area around the pool to have breakfast or lunch/dinner. A cafe with great snacks, and a restaurant with great food. Now, like I said. We'd done a month in India and stayed in quite a few places but the Mahendra Prakash topped the lot. And it was very reasonably priced. It was like finding an oasis. I know I'm going on here but I've been to India 3 times - all over, and this is by far the best place I've stayed. The staff were very attentive and the owner and his family made us feel very welcome. If you need a place to stay in Udaipur, close enough to everything you need, but away from the hustle and bustle then this hotel is for you.

“Home away from home!”

It is a beautiful property. Feels like home away from home. The staff is sweet, and you can find the owner around on campus most of the time making sure the property is well maintained. Breakfast was good too and though we were there in winter and the pool was not usable at the time, it looked clean and functional. The in house restaurant is a plus.

Really lovely hotel with spacious, pretty rooms. We received a warm welcome in excellent English and felt valued customers The reception rooms are attractive with interesting vintage toys and photos. Breakfast excellent, supper very good also. Cake from the cafe an indulgence, do go to the counter to see the fish tank/well. Walkable to the palace, temple and lake so a good location.

The property was very clean, and the ambience was peaceful and relaxing. I truly enjoyed my stay here with my family. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. Would definitely love to visit again for staycation.

Staff were excellent, location very good within walking distance of the City Palace and lake. Very charming ambience with the pool, cafe and restaurant. It has arisen from converting an intergenerational Rajput family home and the owner is very attentive as well as his key staff such as Kuldeep (big shout out to a great guy). Breakfast was. good and staff very responsive to requests for poached eggs for example

“Don"t hesitate”

It's a beautiful property and very tastefully decorated. The garden is a refuge from the hustle and noise outside. Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was generous and tasty and meals can be taken in the garden. The coffee shop is great for an indulgent treat too. We saw staff taking great care with maintenance and cleaning, there's a lot of care taken to ensure the property is perfect. We really loved our stay there!

Breakfast was quite nice with friendly service. Self service for some food and omelettes on request. It is a lovely property with a swimming pool and garden area. Staff kindly provided breakfast to go as we had an early morning train which we really appreciated.

The Haveli is well situated close to the city pallace and the lake. The staff are courtiouse and helpfull. The room was clean and large. A heater was provided as we were there in winter. Breakfast was plentiful and they made eggs to order. The front desk went out of their way to help.

We had a wonderful stay at Mahendra Prakash Hotel in Udaipur. The ambience is exceptional, with beautiful décor that creates a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The coffee and cakes are outstanding, and breakfast was excellent throughout our stay. What truly makes this hotel special is the staff. Everyone was attentive and kind, but a special mention must go to Bupen, who was consistently warm and helpful, and Kuldeep, who took exceptional care of us when we were unwell and needed medical attention. Their compassion and professionalism went far beyond what we expected and made a difficult moment much easier. Overall, the combination of ambience, thoughtful design, great food, and genuinely caring staff made this a memorable and deeply positive experience. We would highly recommend this hotel and would happily return

It was a lovely peaceful, charming oasis in the busy city of Udaipur. The babbling tinkle of the fountain in the cool atrium was lovely to hear, and garden was a lovely place to unwind, with tortoises and a refreshing, deep pool. The food was delicious, and KD was such a great host. Thanks for everything!
