Loved the room and terrace. Also the kind company of the host. The home cooked meals and conversations made me feel at home. Wish I could spend more time at the property. My dog was comfortable too!

Hospitality, the house, the food and the hosts. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming, they served us delicious breakfast, took care of our comfort really well, we loved their hospitality. They even woke up early morning for our early check-in and arranged our breakfast.The rooms and washrooms were quite clean.

Uma, the host, was incredibly warm and welcoming — truly one of the highlights of our stay. We stayed during the off-season and got a great deal on booking.com, making the value excellent. The room had everything we needed: a comfortable bed, a lovely bathroom with hot water and a great shower, and thoughtful touches like separate shampoo and shower gels, and hand towels — which aren’t always guaranteed in homestays. The family owns lots of different lodges in India and have multiple rooms in their homestays. So they know how to offer exceptional service. The AC and fan in both rooms helped make the summer heat manageable. We appreciated the quiet, peaceful location — a nice contrast to central Udaipur. But still an amazing location and only a short Rapido ride to the centre or train station. The food was absolutely delicious — home-cooked with care by Uma and Rukhmandi, the helper, who was also kind and hardworking. Rukhmandi did all her (many) household chores with a smile and was a friendly presence. Requests like batteries for remotes or an extra bin were met quickly with a smile. Early check-in and flexibility were very much appreciated. Highly recommended stay overall.

Everything was amazing. New, big villa. Easy and cheap (2usd) access tó the city center with rickshaw. Super clean, big, comfortable bed. Delicious food, breakfast and dinner too. The best food in India! Super kind owners.

An exceptional place to stay. The family is incredibly friendly and the best hosts you could wish for. The room was lovely, the terrace excellent and everything was incredibly clean. Easily, this was the best place I've stayed. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Jai Villa is hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The villa and room were beautiful, comfortable and clean. Uma your breakfasts are fit for a king I ate so much it was dinner time before I ate again. Also the dinners we had were so tasty and authentic. The whole family made us feel so welcome from the get go. They went above and beyond being fabulous hosts. I miss Jai Villa and hope one day to return 🙏

“Best value for money hotel I’ve ever stayed in!”

Easily the best hotel in India (and maybe anywhere!) I’ve stayed in. Everything was perfect. The King room is enormously spacious, clean and has a huge bathroom with a walk in shower. The host is so kind and helpful, and took care of everything down to the smallest details, such as lovely decor and good quality bathroom products. I cannot stress enough how beautiful this property and room is. Breakfast is also great!

The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. Uma and Devendra are really great hosts, they did everything to make us feel home. The breakfast and dinner were also very tasty. There was a big terrasse where you could have a nice view on the city.

It was just a perfect stay we had. The house and room is just beautiful. Felt very comfortable. Also enjoyed to be a bit out of the center for some peace. Room was of very good standard, one of the best we had in India. Great towels :) But the best was the family and the talks we had. Cooked a great dinner and we could watch and ask many questions. Thank you so much for everything

Great hosts and beautiful room. Devendra and his wife Uma took great care of us, giving us great tips to explore the city. The food we had here was also delicious, some of the best we have had so far on our trip. They were super kind and friendly and just made our stay very special. A beautiful family and a great stay! Would stay again if we are back in Udaipur.

Everything about the homestay is excellent. The location is serene and after a long day in the bustling city - its a delight to come back. The room is beautiful with a spacious balcony. The food is homely and delicious. The quality of our stay also really elevated due to the wonderful hosts (Uma jii and Devendra ji)- who were very helpful and gave us some great tips about what to do, see and eat in Udaipur.

I loved my entire time at the stay. They're very humble and try their best to manage your genuine requests. I am a rajasthani myself and still every night there was surprise on the dinner table, just loved the food too. Very calm and soothing place. This is gonna be my permanent stay place in Udaipur.
