“Nice place with a great location”
I stayed at Black Pepper Homestay in Udaipur and really enjoyed my time there. The location is superb — perfect for experiencing the best the city has to offer. It’s a simple family home, not luxurious, but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I had a great time and would happily stay there again.

Very friendly family and great location, everything is walking distance. You’re in the main tourist center. I had a room with a window on a busy road, so in at 7 in the morning it easy to be awakened by some noise. It’s something to keep in mind everywhere you’re going in Rajasthan anyway. The guest house is nice, facilities are okish. Definitely a good q/p for what you can get in town.

“Nice”
We stayed 4 nights here and felt a little to ourselves. The room was good and the location is perfect! One of the family members who checked us in was friendly and answered lots of our questions. Laundry was also okay. What we didn't know is that the upstairs is a private space so there was no communal area. I think you can have cooking class, breakfast and dinner there but we didn't have an invite to do so. The place is next to an event hall? During 2 of the night the music was so loud in the 11pm/12am. Overall the stay was okay just slightly different to what I expected as the family were busy. Udaipur is very lovely though!

To be among genuine young backpackers. The location which emptied you straight onto the noisy street. The squeegee to mop the bathroom floor. The quiet ceiling fan. The mugs of Chai. The disorganised family who run the place.

Spacious, clean room and bathroom. Everything functioning properly. Very welcoming family who run the place very well. Communication was very easy, with questions answered promptly. The in-house cooking workshop was lovely! The guesthouse is well located for local sights, restaurants and cafés.
