Dating from the 17th century, this family-run, 3-star hotel is just a few steps from Überlingen's Mantelhafen port on the shores of scenic Lake Constance. Set within a converted Patrician villa in Überlingen's old quarter, the Hotel Ochsen has been owned by the same family for more than 100 years. It offers cosy, en-suite rooms with Wi-Fi internet access (fees apply). The Ochsen makes a friendly base for exploring the beautiful surroundings of Lake Constance and the flower island of Mainau. Sports fans can enjoy activities such as sailing, surfing, and hiking here. “Beautiful, traditional hotel in a great location.”
Wonderful traditional hotel in an excellent location 50 metres from Lake Bodensee. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast and evening meal were very good and served in the traditionally appointed restaurant that was beautifully decorated for Christmas during our stay. The private parking 20 metres from the hotel is a most welcomed feature of staying at this hotel, being so close to the lake. We look forward to staying at Hotel Ochsen again.

Perfect location, helpful, friendly staff and a classical, beautiful Hotel. Great variety at breakfast and the evening Restaurant was a pleasure to dine in. Tastefully decorated honouring it’s past. Will look forward to staying again.

Atmosphere, friendly, great food in the evening & also buffet breakfast. Staff were very helpful with our luggage. You must remember that this is a very old hotel, so it’s accommodation is not the Hilton, however it’s spotless with good beds.
