Overview
Tyssedal Hotel is by the Hardangerfjorden at the foot of the Hardangervidda Mountains, 6 km north of central Odda. It offers free WiFi, private parking and free sauna access. The guest rooms feature a TV and fjord or mountain views. The hotel is also home to a collection of original art paintings by Norwegian painters. Fishing, hiking and skiing are popular in the surrounding area. The Trolltunga hike starts in Skjeggeda which is 20 minutes' drive from Tyssedal Hotel. The Norwegian Museum of Hydro Power and Industry is 400 metres away.

“Really enjoyed my stay here despite Trolltunga being closed due to a landslide blocking the road. Great hikes from Buer”
Lovely food, traditional mountain hotel with great character, great food, felt at home here with great views. Shower in the room was excellent too, much needed after some long hikes.

A very comfortable a well-equipped room. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location with easy access to Trolltunga parking. Charger in the parking lot, sauna with beautiful view.

Across the street from railway station, walking distance to historical center, very cosy dining and bar with reasonable prices for Norway. Hotel has its soul.

Beautiful views, rooms are decent. Breakfast good. Staff was very nice and location is near some of the most beautiful places of the fjord

“Fabulous property”
Very beautiful property with amazing views of the Fjord. Excellent facilities and comfortable. Staffs are very friendly and kind. They happily upgraded our room to double room. Breakfast needs improvement.

“Overall, we were happy and we’ve had a good stay.”
We booked here bec of the Trolltunga hike. The room is spacious, neat and clean. The bus stop is 2-3 mins walk. Staffs are kind and friendly.
