“Short drive to Joshua Tree”
It’s the desert, so expect a visit from the locals—and by locals, I mean bugs (crickets, etc. 😊). We do a lot of hiking and camping, so we’re pretty used to it. It’s a bit harder to be positive about our stay overall, as it was the weekend and our neighbours were noisy literally all night. That said, the room itself was fine with a full size fridge and a kitchenette with a 2 hot plates & microwave. The desk staff were nice and helpful.

“Goof location in the middle of Joshua Tree”
Late check in was easy enough Clean and comfy and staff were helpful. Goof place to stop if you plan on seeing Joshua Tree Easy to get back to LA from here

The Starlight Inn has become our go to accommodation for trips to Joshua Tree NP. We've averaged one two night stay a month in 2024 and have never had a negative thing to stay. The rooms are clean, secure, bathroom is roomy and the room comes with a microwave and small fridge as well as WIFI that is fast and free. It pays to shop around when it comes to places to stay near Joshua Tree but if there is a better "Bang for the Buck" than the Starlight Inn I haven't found it. As long as the quality we've come to expect continues we will continue to stay exclusively at the Starlight Inn and would encourage family and friends to do the same. Hope this is of some help.
