Nick was a super receptionist ! Very helpful and friendly ! The hotel has a good location close to the Joshua Tree Park, which we appreciated.

The best motel on our trip. You have your own little house which is colorful and really cute. The small private veranda and the view over the whole village to the sausages are particularly nice. The owner is super nice and helpful and is happy to have a little chat.

“A real life NIGHTMARE 🪳 I am not exaggerating when I say we had to run away from the manager”

I am not exaggerating when I say we had to run away from the hotel due to the extreme hostility of the older Indian gentleman running the front desk (seems to be the manager or owner). I don’t have his name and that is why I have to physically describe him. Heres the facts: we arrive on the very rocky hotel road. We get our two rooms (we were four people), both rooms are dirty, but one was worse than the other. It had bed bugs (we examined saw many little black dots, looked closer - bugs. One bit us when we picked it up. My partner worked in a hotel for two years, he certainly knows what they look like). However, we are low maintenance people and know that we booked at a budget motel, so we weren’t upset. We asked to simply switch rooms, the housekeeper was very helpful with this. We arrive to the third room and it was the same, very dirty. Different kind of dead and alive bugs throughout the room. Stains on the sheets. Cigarette butts in the window… We did not feel comfortable to sleep there. So we went to the front desk to see what were possible solutions. That’s when things got even worse When politely explaining the dirtiness and asking for perhaps a partial refund or any solution, the older gentleman instantly escalated with a CRAZY look in his eyes. I want to specify that he THREATENED us, saying he will report us as “liars” when we politely explained to him that we found bed bugs in our room. I then calmly showed him the photos, and he screamed in our face (with a literal crazed look in his eyes) “liars!!!” We asked for him to come to the room with us so we could show him, he refused and called the house cleaner to come back to the hotel to look with us. He went 0 to 100. There was no possibility for a cordial discussion. When we realized there was no ability to talk to him politely, we decided to leave. He became more angry, threatened us that we must “stay here” because he will report us and closed the reception door. We were baffled. No refund ofc
