Hotel Tuscania Panoramico provides elegant accommodation with enchanting views over Tuscania’s medieval town centre in a fascinating area in the Lazio countryside, just 15 minutes from Lake Bolsena. All of the hotel’s well-equipped rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable, being furnished in a typical local style. Many have lovely balconies with picturesque views of the surrounding area. For even better views there is the stunning terrace, which provides exceptional views of the town and its old churches. Old Tuscania itself has numerous sights of cultural interest and from here you can easily tour a great number of interesting places in the nearby area. National parks and thermal springs are close by and ancient Viterbo, unforgettable Orvieto and a whole host of other pretty medieval towns are just a short drive away.

“Pleasant and comfortable stay, but don't expect hotel facilities - this is more of a B&B.”
The buffet breakfast was generous and satisfying, with an interesting selection of foodstuffs. Some of the sweeter things like the cakes and pastries looked lovely but were more appropriate for mid-morning coffee - but see below. The location was great, with wonderful views out - our room had a magnificent terrace balcony with amazing views over the old town. It was easy to walk into Tuscania which is very quaint and not overwhelmed by tourists. The room and bathroom were generously sized and clean, and the bed was comfortable.

“They don't trust their guests”
I asked reception for an iron and was told that "for security reasons" they didn't hand out irons to guests because they would "burn the room". I explained that most hotels trusted their guests and was told that only 4 stars hotels and above did that. Oh well, I guess with that attitude, the hotel will never get better ratings.

“Good hotel, with spacious areas for gathering.”
Great staff, very helpful. Great room. They let me park my motorcycle inside a gate, very safe. This isn't a like or dislike: Directly outside the hotel is a plaza, with an "interesting" painted sculpture. Going around the corner to another plaza are more sculptures, going from interesting to blatantly erotic. The "best" one is right outside the door of the Catholic church.

“Very pleasant staff and good value.”
Staff were very friendly. The room was clean and the bathroom spacious. It is a short walk into the old town centre. The terrace which has a wonderful view suffers a bit from the road noise but the room was very quiet.
