“Great hotel in a charming town.”
Beautiful and interesting concept. Food was good. The oatmeal was marked as famous snd I understand why! Staff were helpful and kind. Highly recommend staying. Having spa on location made taking a day just at the hotel relaxing.

The room was new, comfortable and very clean, and I loved the environmentally friendly approach. The Kakola shop had a great selection of gifts and souvenirs. The breakfast had the usual exceptional Finnish standards.

The fact it is an old prison the interior design combines the history and luxury well. The beds are super comfortable!

Breakfast was very comprehensive. Hotel was quirky, being an former prison with many original features. Location was good with access to rive by way of funicular. Easy to walk or bus into town

“Good stay in an original hotel”
Good and modern hotel in a converted prison. My room was small, but had everything I needed for the stay. I appreciated the candy and the beer upon arrival. Bath room was quite big and had the right facilities. Also breakfeast buffet was plenty, and there was a bar opened in the evening for late evening drinks. There is a restaurant located in the hotel as well, which came quite in handy.

The milieu itself is very pretty as is the hotel itself. The newness of the hotel is also visible in the interior of the room. Worth visiting if you really want to experience "a night at an old prison" -kind of thing.
