Run by the same family since 1854, Hotel Roma e Rocca Cavour is one of the oldest hotels in Turin. Surrounded by lush gardens, it is opposite to Porta Nuova Train Station. The rooms of Roma e Rocca Cavour Hotel overlook the gardens in the front of the building or the peaceful courtyard in the back. Some rooms come with antique furniture. This is a traditional hotel which has the perfect location: it's close to the railway station and metro and at the very beginning of Via Roma. The room had high ceilings, a comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom and air conditioning. Breakfast had lots of choice and good coffee machines (essential). Staff were helpful and welcoming. Above all else it was the location; Via Roma, which is still being renovated, is amazing and there are lots of side streets to explore. You are spoiled for cafes and restaurants. We went to Lingotto to the motor museum (a must see) and we just crossed the road from the hotel to the metro.

Location is excellent. Breakfast served in a very pleasant part of the hotel. Our room had a vast terrace which was a plus. Liked the availability of carafes of iced water throughout the hotel.

We got an upgrade to a very big room. It‘s in a positive way an old fashioned hotel with nice furniture, friendly staff and good breakfast on a nice terrace. We would certainly return there.
