The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast included was great.

This was a perfect place to stay in Tupiza ahead of and after the Salt Flats tour. Very good value for money, spacious and comfortable room, powerful warm shower and great breakfast! There is also a well equipped shop downstairs which is very convenient and they offer a fantastic laundry service for an extra fee. Staff are friendly and welcoming. It is about a 10 minute walk across the bridge to the bus station/main town. Not a whole lot in Tupiza in terms of amenities and pretty much all restaurants are closed on Sundays but there is a well equipped kitchen in the hostel which we used to cook dinner with supplies from the shop downstairs.

The owners were lovely and accommodating when we asked if we leave luggage for the day. The property itself is fairly basic (but maybe quite good for Tupiza). It’s quite handy for the bus station (about a 10 min walk) but about 15-20 mins to the main square (plaza de le independência). Good choice for breakfast including cereals, tomatoes, a selection of fruit, scotch pancake etc).

The hosts are kind and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and clean, secure parking is a big plus and you can walk to the centre for restaurants and shops. It's also great that they have a little supermarket on site. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Very sweet staff

Friendly staff and a good breakfast spread. Location is a short walk into town across the bridge. We were able to check-in after our night bus at around 8am which was great!

“Nice place to stay, misleading title on the deluxe room”

We liked the location and the breakfast was quite nice too. The place was very accommodating when we told them we would arrive very late and helped us with a guide passcode and key to get in by ourselves.

Very clean, good hot showers. The owners were really lovely and friendly. The second room we stayed in, the bed and pillows were excellent. There is a shop on site and a good kitchen to use to make your own meals.

“Hostal Butch Cassidy”

Recommended by Lonely Planet to organise the 4 day Salar d'Uyuni tour from Hostal Butch Cassidy with Voy Tours. The hostel is clean & very comfortable, lovely breakfast, very kind, humble & obliging family. The tour was organised by the hostel owner exactly as we wanted & when. We returned to Butch Cassidy for a night after the tour (finished in Uyuni but we came back to Tupiza with the driver). It was all perfect. We couldn't have had a better tour driver (Christobal Ribera) or more comfortable vehicle (Toyota Lexus).

Very spacious room and a bathroom, great shower. Queen size and comfortable bed. Breakfast above any other hostels we stayed in South America. Franklin and his staff very helpful and they made sure we would have the best stay. And we also booked the 4x4 tour to Uyuni through Franklin - he speaks good English and gave us great information.

“Good place to stay before or after Salar”

The room was super clean and smell good. Bathroom was big, water was unlimited and hot (rare thing after Uyuni). Breakfast was good and diverse They also provide tours to salar or canyon but we didn't test them as we already booked others
