“Great stay in Tupiza”

This was the best stay so far after over 3 weeks in South America. Great room, wonderfully furnished, helpful and supportive staff and a great breakfast that I wish I had been able to enjoy for longer (was leaving earlier).

I needed a place to stay in Tupiza on short notice and selected El Grano De Oro. It worked out perfectly. Clean, comfortable and good location Sylvia spoke English and was very helpful.

“Very customer-oriented staff and a place I’d stay again”

The staff are very kind and customer-oriented. At check-in, they said I could see the room first and then decide. They allowed me to check in around 10 a.m. The breakfast is delicious and very filling. The hotel is within walking distance of the central market and the bus terminal. The building is not new, but it is very clean. There was a new toilet paper roll in the room, not a used one. The room is large enough for a solo traveler. I usually do not stay at the same hotel again, but I would like to stay here again.

The hotel was very clean and the lady that ran the hotel spoke very good English and was super helpful. She made us a full breakfast every morning and helped us book local tours. Security was very good as well as the front door was kept locked and we had to buzz to get in.

We stayed here twice, both at the beginning and at the end of our 4x4 Tupeza to Uyuni tour. It is a hospitable place run by a mother and her daughters, who are very keen to ensure that you have a perfect stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. They offered to serve breakfast at 6.30am as we had early starts both times we stayed. The breakfast was great, with OJ, fruit, toast, eggs and coffee. More than we needed! They also did some washing at short notice as we had just arrived back from a vety dusty trip and were moving on again early the next morning. This was very much appreciated, as was organising a driver to take us to Villazon border so we could cross over easily into Argentina, to get our bus from La Quianca to Salta. Would highly recommend.

“Amazing hosts, great stay”

This was definitely the nicest accommodation I've had in Bolivia! It was very clean and comfortable. The host was a lovely lady who was very helpful when I arrived super late from my bus and even brought me tea. The breakfast was large and delicious. It was very close to the bus terminal and also to the centre of town. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Tupiza.

Really enjoyed my stay at El grano de oro. The hosts are very attentive, they have a garage where to park your car if you’re driving there. Rooms are spacious and the how shower is nice after days in the hostels. Breakfast was also nice and included fresh fruits.

What a great stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean, in great condition, secure and very close to the bus station and shared taxi rank. Our hostess was so friendly and helpful. She even made us a fantastic vegan breakfast at 6.00am so that we could eat before setting off for a long day of travel.

The hotel is absolutely spotless - cleanest hotel I've ever been in! The room is a good size, with beautiful hot showers. The location is excellent, very close to the bus station (and not far from the train station, either), and close to the centre of town. Sylvia (and her daughter) are so lovely, and do everything they can to give advice, and to help in any way they can. Sylvia can also recommend and arrange tours. The breakfast is delicious (Sylvia makes it for you, fresh) and Sylvia was even kind enough to make breakfast for us earlier, on our last day, when we had to check-out extra early.
