“Charming, central, super friendly staff”

Super convenient location - right in the middle of the Tunis Medina. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, such as offering airport transport at a small fee, giving us advice on where to travel in the city, and they also went as far as preparing us a to-go breakfast at 4am as we had to leave super early. The place is pretty much a hostel so expect a hostel level of comfort, but it is so full of character and charm that it is worth it.

a great place for your first stay in Tunis as teh staff is very helpful and they have 24 hours reception. very big rooms, well decorated. a stunning building and a great courtyard for breakfast. loved it all.

Beautiful original building, decent breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky to get a room with its own wc and shower. The location in the medina is great, easy to find with google maps. No issue with hot water (as i was reading in other comments).

“Clean, friendly, cheap”

Beautiful hotel in good location on the edge of the Medina. Our room was big and clean. Breakfast was basic, but totally fine (coffee, bread, butter, jam, fruits). Staff was amazing. Big thanks to Youssef and Omar, especially for recommending Restaurant Erriadh, it was amazing (very local, very tasty, very cheap). There’s a great local barber shop a few meters away on „the main alleyway“, if you need a shave :D

“Pleasant stay in the heart of the old medina”

Good value for money. Location is lovely, a quiet street close to the souks. Rooms were spacious, breakfast simple but nourishing. Most importantly, staff was wonderfully kind and helpful. Felt safe here as a solo female traveller and saw various other women staying here alone.

Amazing Dar in the middle of the medina. Our favorite was indeed the staff (always so nice and friendly) and the breakfast. We felt immediately safe and at home. You need to request the towels in the reception and they are of course free (we saw comments saying otherwise). Thank you so much for making our stay so comfortable!

This was my 3th time at Dar Ya. Next time in Tunis will be Dar Ya again, for sure! Everything is fine there. Above all is the staff (that I now consider close friends) which makes the difference. Go to Dar Ya.guys!

“Lovely Dar in the center of the Medina”

Dar Ya was a very beautiful place to stay in the heart of the Medina in Tunis. The entrance is a bit hidden, but still easy to find. A quaint small yet pretty place, very clean (the sheets smelled of detergent :D), the staff were quite nice and helpful. The breakfast every morning was delicious. The bathrooms were also clean and the water very hot. The only downside was that the internet did not reach the second floor.
