Dar Kenza is fabulous. The staff are friendly, helpful and responsive. The rooms are perfect and reflect the history and culture. It is in the heart of the medina and perfect for exploring the area. The area is safe. Delicious breakfast especially the assida. Listening to the muezzins call to prayer from the mosques in the evening on the terrace roof is a highlight. Thank you Dar Kenza!

“Great home stay ish with lovely hosts and decent breakfast on the rooftop”

Breakfast was good. A nice home cooked meal and loved how local it was! The rooms were big with a nice living room. The staff were just lovely and soo welcoming. That alone made our stay here amazing and its very well priced and located right in the Medina!

The owner of this lovely place to stay was super welcoming and kind. She made me feel really comfortable, especially as a solo woman traveler. The place was so beautiful, and if I was with a partner, I would love to stay here with them. The breakfast was great and all of the staff. The property itself, including the rooftop, is beautiful. I would definitely recommend staying here!

“Cosy, great breakfasts, best location”

A charming traditional house remade into a family-run hotel with spacious rooms and great food! Best location, too, for wondering around the Old Town and sightseeing.

Location is perfect if you want to explore medina. It is also close pretty to the city center, trams and train station. Breakfast was served in a room on the top of the building so there is a great view to look at while enjoying your breakfast. It included also Tunisian specialities. Very tasty.

“Good if you don't mind an old room”

It's a small hotel in a traditional style, located in the middle of Medina. The lady who runs it is very nice and responsive - you can message her on Booking and she replies within half an hour. They serve breakfast on the rooftop with a view.

The owner was very friendly, I loved everything about this place and I will surely go back!

“A nice place that allows you to immerse yourself in the history and culture of the city”

The guesthouse is located right in the middle of the medina, which is both a plus and a minus. The building itself is very beautiful and has a sense of Tunis' history, which makes staying there fascinating. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace and is very good. Sure, it's fun to look for your accommodation when Google Maps goes crazy, but the place itself is definitely worth staying here. The rooms are very beautifully decorated and staff was also very responsive.

“A warm, authentic medina stay with delicious breakfast and an exceptional host”

We loved our stay at Dar Kenza Tunis. It’s a traditional, cozy, and authentic hotel right in the heart of the Tunis medina. The location is perfect: turning right takes you straight to the main bustling market streets – including the gold market – and the Zitouna Mosque. If you turn left, you’ll find yourself in the peaceful side of the medina, with quiet alleyways mostly used by locals. The whole area felt very safe, even after dark, and we spent many evenings wandering through the lantern-lit streets. We especially want to highlight the wonderful host, Dhouha. She is truly an amazing person – incredibly kind, warm, and helpful. She made our stay even better with her thoughtful recommendations for restaurants, shops, and places to visit, helping us experience Tunis like locals. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic medina experience!

the location of course was excellent in the heart of Medina. Loved the decor and the authenticity of the place. Breakfast on the rooftop was the cherry on the cake and the staff was super nice. the owner also showed us a place to have dinner the first night that was amazing!!

“Reflects the heart of the oldtown”

The hotel was located in the heart of the oldtown, within the historic city, having many narrow passage ways -like a labyrinth- within the 'bazaar' thus, a lively area... We liked the staff very much; so helpfull and friendly. Brahim picked us up when it was not possible for us to find the place at night!! The rooms were really very clean and we were served a very interesting breakfast.

Right in the heart of the Medina, which was amazing. The unit was very spacious with two bedrooms, a lounge area and small kitchenette. Breakfast was wonderful and Dohaa was a warm, attentive and kind hostess. She gave us very good and practical advice for getting around and even walked with us to find a taxi to the airport after checking out.
