We were given a tradition Egyptian breakfast which was amazing! Even though we arrived a little later in the day around 4pm, Bassem was more than happy to show us around and take us on different activities. We did horse riding by the lake, went on a felouka (boat) on the lake and also did pottery. We were also given tea and sweet potato in the evening and sat by a fire with music which was really enjoyable. We had alot of trouble getting back to Cairo as we could not find anyone to take us back at such a late time and so Mohamed the lodge owner offered to take us back! Would definitely recommend if you're looking to experience Faiyum from people who actually live there and are knowledgable on the area.

“Beautiful garden and pool”

Beautiful garden and swimming pool. The hotel is in an imposing grand building which has been renovated recently. Nice big room and comfortable bed . Excellent breakfast in the garden. Staff was very attentive and helpful

“Brilliant, would stay again.”

We had a lovely stay at Pidgeon Lodge. The rooms were spacious and attractive, with balcony views to the lake. The lodge was very easy to access the main street for all the restaurants and pottery places. Farha made us a large array of delicious food for breakfast each morning and Bisam put together a camp fire in the evening where we had a Bedouin Tea. The pool area and garden were very comfortable with sunny and shaded areas to relax. Mohammed arranged a 4x4 excursion and we were driven by Bassam who entertained us with his off road driving and music. Everyone made us feel very welcome....

Great Hospitality ، room are very clean and amazing few over the lake. Breakfast is very delicious and more than enough. Bassem is very helpful and cooperative always try to help and ensure you are having a pleasant stay.

Our stay was perfect. The room was extremely clean, comfortable, and spacious. Great service and a very good breakfast. We also did a safari with Bassem and it was just perfect, he’s a very nice and friendly guy who did his best to make us enjoy the entire trip. Thank you so much! I highly recommend this place, and if you want to do a safari, don’t forget to ask for Bassem, he’s the best!

The hotel had an absolutely incredible location—the view over Qaroon Lake was truly breathtaking, and it’s just a 2-minute walk from Tunis Village. Everything was spotless, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The staff, especially Bassam and Mohamed, were outstanding—extremely welcoming, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They provided us with all the information we needed to explore the area and even suggested great activities. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to everyone I know!

Umarfaha made the best falafel in Egypt, a truly amazing breakfast. It was a banquet of deliciousness that we ate whilst gazing at the lake views visible from the breakfast area. There are lots of birds, we enjoyed this. The pool is lovely, very clean, and is set in a really pretty garden. The shower was good. The room had kettle/coffee/lots of teas. The bed was comfy, we had a private balcony with unobstructed lake view. The stone built building felt like a small castle, cool inside, and really beautiful rooms. Mohamed spoke really good english. He gave us lots of great information about the places we were visiting, was really attentive, and sorted out everything we asked him to. An exceptionally helpful and lovely guy. He organised a couple of tours for us, and the 4x4 day trip to Wadi El Hitan / Wadi El Rayan / magic lake / sandboarding day was one of the highlights of our trip and we highly recommend it. Our driver Basar was great, good english, fun, good driver. It is a lovely place, and we were well looked after in many ways. The building work should be finished soon so maybe it will be perfect for future guests. I'd highly recommend the coffee wagon called "Nostalgia". It is run by a genuinely lovely Guy. He does the best ice cream (italian), and the best coffee. ( located along the road with pottery shops, past Com El Dikka)

Perfect place to stay in Tunis village. Mohamed was extremely friendly and helpful, and Om Farha prepared amazing breakfasts for us each morning. I would highly recommend staying here, the location is great and the atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful. Thank you for having us!

Clean rooms,friendly and helpfull stuff, they let us leave our luggage when we were on the trip, beautiful new hotel, very tasty and fresh breakfast, we have nice time at the fire in the evening. We will definitely come back if we will be in Tunis. Thank you for everything

“The best stay in Tunis”

What an excellent stay in Tunis! Location is just outside the main street, close to pottery shops and many restaurants. Facilities in the hotel are great and it was very clean, freshly renovated. Complimentary breakfast included a lot of local specialties and the portions were more than enough (falafels were our favourite!). Our host was super lovely and helpful - he agreed to take us on a trip to the desert which was definitely a highlight of our stay in Tunis! Payment is handled by Booking which is very convenient. We only stayed for one night but would choose the place again for another visit and recommend to everyone.
