“Perfect Picture Postcard Hotel”

If I could give this hotel 20 out of 10 I would. The design of the whole site is beautiful and tasteful, just low rise villa type buildings or houses with straw roofs. We have a lovely room with sea view, only a few steps from the restaurant and from the swimming pool. Although we do have a choice of 3 pools. Breakfast is abundant and delicious, and the buffet dinner is surprisingly good quality with lots of healthy options, albeit a bit pricy for Mexico. My all time favorite hotel after years of travel all over the world.

The private access to the beach is amazing! Food was good as well!

“We are waiting for the respond for our compensation from VR Club Tulum”

ATTENTION: we have been victim of a theft at VR Club in Tulum at the first day of our stay !!! We are French family we booked 2 rooms for 5 nights on 19-24 December 2025 via Booking.com. We immediately put our valuable items into the safe upon arrival in our room (cash 5000€ that we declared at the immigration + a Cartier watch from our wedding anniversary gift value of about 12000€). Next day at 4 pm we went out in Tulum town, left money and watch in the safe, came back at 7pm, went straight to join our friends for dinner at the hotel and back to sleep. When we opened the safe early the next following day the money and the watch were missing ! We immediately informed the hotel. The security man and the manager came for security inspection, the safe was not damaged and don’t present any breaking signs. There is only 1 person who have the key for all the safes in the hotel! As advised by the hotel, we went to the police station to report the theft. We also informed Booking.com about the case. Theft must have an easy access to the safe and have an accomplice….according to hotel’s camera showed one hotel staff came to our room and that person never came back to work. The hotel sent staff to check this missing person directly at his house and that person just disappeared. VR Club promised us to do their best for the refund and clearly recognised this is their responsibility. But until now we are still waiting for fair compensation from VR Club Tulum. It’s unbelievable that this could happen in a 4**** hotel. We are Genius travellers in Booking.com and such a case never happened to us. We cannot obviously recommend this hotel and advise future guests to be very cautious…if not to avoid this hotel at all!

“Fine for a short stay”

The hotel seems to be in the process of ownership change. It has potential, but seems to require some investment. It was ok for a short stay (2 nights), with a pretty beach view from the hotel's balcony. I noticed an issue with hot water - it just doesn't seem to be hot enough during the evenings, when everyone takes shower. I didn't particularly enjoy breakfast as there was nothing a bit more "local" to eat. Hotel's beach was fine to enjoy the sunset, but not really for a swim. It's nothing close to Tulum's white sand beaches. Overall, it's my personal preference - won't book any resort-type stay ever again (even for 2 nights).

Location is great, nice pool area and comfortable beds on the beach. The food was good too.

I liked how close to the beach we were, and some of the staff - Havier, Angel and Adlai @ breakfast. I also really liked the laid back feel in the resort.

The beach was beautiful and it was well maintained, very clean. Very good breakfast/dinner buffet. Everyday something different. Spacious and comfortable rooms

This hotel is a gem! beutiful, boho design, clean rooms equipped with coffee machine, not too spacious but enough, balcony with the sea view, direct access to the beach, many pools and jacuzzi, good breakfast with variety of choices, located outside of the city (actually in the middle of nowhere but we were aware of that and in my opinion this is huge advantage comparig to noisy city center), few restaurants, good wifi

“Perfect for a 1-night stay”

Gorgeous beach location, lots of sargassum which was starting to smell a little (we weren't clear if it was attempted to be cleared up). We were only there for one night and it was perfect for a one night stopover. We made use of the tennis courts but couldn't find the 'jungle gym' advertised on the website. Rooms were really clean, full set of toiletries in the shower and comfy beds and pillows. The staff were really friendly and helpful, however we felt at times that there was a bit of a territorial attitude between the waiting staff as they were clearly angling for tips (even though we had gone for the all inclusive option and the food options were therefore self service). Great drinks options in the all inclusive option.
