Offering a private beach area, Playa Canek Boutique Eco Hotel is a rustic-style property set in the beaches of Tulum, 10 minutes’ drive from the town centre. The bright rooms here will provide you with air conditioning, a balcony and a seating area. Featuring a shower, the private bathrooms also come with free toiletries and towels. We absolutely loved our stay at Playa Canek, the location was spot on, close enough to all the action without the noise :) Bruno the owner is great, lovely friendly guy who we shared plenty of tequilas with down at the beach bar :) The breakfast is fab, local eggs cooked how you like with toast, fruit & coffee. Sunrise is epic on the hammock, 6.50 am sunrise I was there from 5.50 stars & purple pink skies accompanied by Natcho, the friendliest hotel dog. Teresa was fabulous at organising dinner reservations & our transfer back to the airport 24hr Go mart is a lovely 5 Minute stroll away that has coffees, pastries, frappes & snacks etc There is a food court directly opposite, tacos, pizzas, burgers, shrimp & munchies bar serving fab cocktails 10/10 stay We would love to return, thank you for having us at your little slice of paradise on the beach Bruno & co Nicky & Carl :)

“Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price”
I honestly didn’t enjoy my stay. The cleanliness, location, and most of the staff (with rare exceptions) were disappointing. If I had to mention something that wasn’t entirely bad, it would be the breakfast — it was just okay. The one real highlight was the friendly and attentive guy who served me there. Other than that, not much to say.

Absolutely loved this hotel! Great value to money. The staff is beautiful and super kind. Everyone deserves a raise, but specially Paulina, Aranza, Alex, Dario and Suemy Loved this experience, will definitely come back! PS: make Paulina manager ;)

location, beach, staff. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The beach is awesome. Location is great and very close to all the dining and drinking places. Just a 7 minute walk from Arca.
