“Best place to stay in Tulum”
The property is more or less 20km away from the center or Tulum, but if you have a car, you can easily find your way downtown. In the middle of the woods, it is the perfect place to stay if you want to rest. A small boutique hotel with everything you need for a couple amazing days in Tulum. The host, Laura, is the best!! She will take care of you as if you are family, and will give the best advices. An amazing person with a BIG heart.

“A beautiful place in the middle of the jungle away from the crazy Tulum noise and construction sites”
If you're like me and you want a nice, quiet place away from the Tulum noise, book this place! This is an amazing space, in the middle of nature, with originally designed and decorated bungalows and the best food I ate in Mexico. I did not even want to try eating elsewhere in the area. If you like nature, this is your chance to sleep, shower, read and work in the middle of the Yucatan jungle while still having the comfort of warm showers, comfy beds and mosquitoes nets (although Laura's place almost doesn't have any mosquitoes). The bungalow I stayed in has floor to ceiling windows and if you open all of them it feels like being outside, the best feeling you can wish for. Laura is not the typical host, she's a wonderful woman, a great chef and a beautiful soul. It felt like I was visiting a friend. I completely changed my itinerary in Mexico following her recommendations and I discovered some incredible places. Thank you so much, Laura! I hope to see you again!

We loved our stay at Escarabajo Rojo so much! The room is very beautiful and comfortable, the place is a true gem. Laura was very nice to us and her dog and cat are the sweetest. We were sad to only stay one night there, we wish we could stay longer. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again

We stayed in the tree house structure which is beautiful and as per the photos. The room is comfortable and large. The property is very well maintained. Laura is a superb host with great local knowledge, everyday providing us suggestions if needed (including mezcal reccos) and supplying a nice breakfast. We had a car and it was a great location if, like us, your main thing is not to visit the beach everyday. We could get into Tulum within 15mins. Lovely place to stay if you want to be away from the crowds and have some quiet time.

“100% recommend”
Laura has been extremely kind with us, she, the dog Bruno and the cats really did become our friends during our stay! The bungalow in the tree was lovely, well furnished with stylish taste and the dishes prepared by Laura were absolutely delicious. Everything went perfect, we highly recommend!
