Perfect place to stay. There are 3 units, and we stayed at the smallest one Tancho which is big enough for 2 of us. This unit has a bedroom with 2 twin bed and a loft (in case of extra guests) equipped with sofa bed, futon beds and a massage chair. The facilities are complete for you to do your own cooking if you wish to, washing machine and the best part is the huge bathroom. We get to see wild cranes passing by and red foxes. The area is quiet which we really like. There are restaurants nearby, Although Kushiro city is about 20km away, Secomart is available about 5km away and Tsurui town about 6km away. So we have no problem getting our supples.

Ideally located to go and photograph the japanese cranes, one spot is about 5mn by feet. Spacious and very clean, kitchen, dining table with big window where you can sometimes see the cranes flying.

Best location to observe cranes flying by. 3 minutes drive from Otowa Bridge, walking distance to the Crane Observatory. The house is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner are delicious.

The facilities are super good, convenient and comfortable. Staff is very helpful and the using of translation application really helps the communication. Spacious room, fully equipped facilities.

Love the property as it is easily accessible to locations that allowed you to see the majestic Red-Crowned Cranes! Property is very serene during the night and the indoors are beautifully decorated.

The house was beautifully presented, lots of extra touches. It was also very warm, and had comfortable beds. Lovely indoor wooden bath (we didn't try the outside tub). Just 5 minutes down the road is Otowa Bridge, where you can see the Japanese Cranes at dawn (flying right over you).

Seeing red-crowned cranes from the window every morning! The house is really comfortable and well equipped.

Stayed in Tancho building and we were lucky to see cranes flying past the large windows on their way home in the afternoon. Warm and clean. Place has everything we need, including onsen bath tub and hot rock bed. Daughter saw a lot of stars through the window of loft where she slept.

the serenity of the location is beautiful

A new and well equipped accommodation. The house hold provides enough cooking utensils in the kitchen and the hose furnishes like a home. There is also a washing machine inside the house, very convenient and you can stay there for two nights to explore more the lake nearby.

Very clean (almost brand new), spacey and comfortable since everything you would need for daily life are equipped there. Especially a bathtub made of Hinoki wood is in the indoor bathroom and there is even a Roten-buro (outdoor bathtub)! There is a loft space which is extremely nice with a pair of great sound speakers and some good jazz CDs. The windows facing the back field are so big that you can enjoy watching Tanchou-zuru (Japanese cranes). The amenities in the bathroom and the kitchen are more than enough. The owner and the staff were so kind and helpful. Their hospitality is absolutely wonderful. It was worth the 30 minute drive from the city centre of Kushiro. (Sorry I couldn’t write in Japanese for my keyboard setting is wired at the moment.)

Well equipped, very comfortable house. A good base to explore Akan- Mashu National parks, the Kushiro wetlands, and for cranes.
