Overview
Manza Kogen Hotel boasts outdoor hot spring baths in natural settings, and a buffet restaurant, about 5 minutes walk from the Manza Onsen Ski Ground. It also offers a ski shop, ski gear rentals and a free shuttle service to/from Karuizawa Station. Guests at Manza Kogen can unwind in public hot spring baths, indoors or in the open air. The hotel further houses drinks vending machines and lockers, and the lobby provides free WiFi. Rooms feature a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a fridge and an electric kettle. They’re furnished with a personal safe and an attached toilet, while some also offer a shower. Restaurant Shirane offers a buffet breakfast and buffet dinner, both with Japanese and Western dishes. The Manza Kogen Hotel is 40 minutes by public bus from Manza-Kazawaguchi Train Station. It’s 90 minutes from Karuizawa Station with the complimentary shuttle, which must be reserved in advance.

I like the mixed onsens. It allowed me to share an open air onsen with my wife. The breakfast and dinners were good and the system to get in and out was also good.

“Budget friendly for quality hot spring”
Room was equipped for 4 people stay, so very roomy and comfortable. The price with 2 meals and quality of hot spring was unbeatable. Mixed bath with bathing wear was really nice for family and friends to bathe together

“Comfortable stay, magical in winter”
The two onsens were great, and we also appreciated that we could bathe at the sister hotel ‘manza prince’ nearby. The view from our room, overlooking a stream, was magical, especially as it snowed during our stay.
