“A superb Japanese ryokan experience”

The room was lovely looking out over the stream into the autumn foliage. Ours meals were perfectly prepared and presented. The staff were helpful and welcoming.

This was our second time here and it was exceptional as was the first. Amazing hospitality, there was nothing we can fault. The highlights for us were the food & the private onsen bath.

This place was an amazing stop-over on our train journey from Kyoto to Sapporo. I think we were especially lucky being here on a Monday night as we were virtually the only people here! It meant that my son and I got the public onsen to ourselves which is superb (the outside area is right next to falling snow and a stream).

The staff went above and beyond, the food was excellent, the room spacious and the onsen was as depicted: lovely. Would recommend.

Overall, a great experience. Quality ryokan, with great staff.

Japanese hospitality at its best. There was not a single thing I could fault, we had the loveliest time. The food was exceptional, as was the service. The place is made for rest and recharge with the hot tubs and the whole atmosphere being calm and quiet. We were very sad to leave and would come back any time.

Everything was great!

The staff was so nice and welcoming. We were shocked at such good hospitality! they even helped us with storing our snowboards and clearing our car of snow every morning. the food is SO GOOD we were so excited for dinner and breakfast each night. the rooms were spacious too. we love everything about Furusato and we hope to be back next year!
