“Old and very basic, but value priced with friendly staff and okay location in Truro”

Friendly staff, easy all-hours check-in through the bar, good location, adequate in terms of sleep and shower comfort. This was our most reasonably priced stay in Nova Scotia.

The first room was terrible. bed not made there was toilet paper on the floor in the bathroom dirty towels.This was room 7.So I went back to the office she gave us a new room Room 21 with 2 beds, This room was clean , nice bath towels, I would reccomend at least sweeping the room every day as after a day the floor had ground on it and without slippers was hard on bare feet.

Like...NOTHING!!! You want a description from service to even the actual room then describe HELL for me. I've been on the road for some 30plus years and this place in its entirety makes me shake my head. Describe the 1700 up to early 1800's..only thing missing was spitoons as it would be fitting. $30 but with today's inflation then a very generous $35 room. Not counting spiders or the webs..the dust and rust on everything and everywhere...furniture picked up from roadside before thrown on the garbage truck turn to turning on the hot water tap and wait 20 minutes when it begins to get warm and the 30 min mark it's scalding and management said theres no xtra charge for that. You can't even make this up and I work in the oil field stay in their camps back in the day could somewhat be similar but today's are more than fine. I have only walked into one place where I turnt around and walked out...this place was close to that..very close...Slum Lords..oh yeah..prices changed 4 times..lol..I could go on but check out the reviews...I didn't do that soon enough. I could live with most of it but put it all together it was just too much. I didn't book through you I went right to the front desk..sorry.. to another hole in the wall and they said they seen the email but deleted it and the room jumped $15..lol...then looked online it was even cheaper than original by $7..then after 5 days a deal would be $9 cheaper per day...lol..I guess I missed it dunno..along with housekeeping never seen them either..probably one of the patrons in the one arm bandit room pulling handles to hear the music...I'm skimming off most with this picture but whoever gave the stamp of approval on this place is related and undoubtedly shown appreciation. PS: I sure hope you haven't billed me for this stay because that would make it double billed and probably front page stuff for this town. Have a good day..I did when I dropped the keys and got out
