Fantastic location, northern lights to be seen from the terrace, huge and very comfortable apartment, we spent a great holiday on this beautiful island next to the sea. Christel and Stig are very charming and welcoming hosts.

Absolutely stunning location, 100/10! The views from the whole house are breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to watch the northern lights from the balcony all night. The hosts are very welcoming and made sure everything was as we needed, even coming back to help us when we got stuck on the driveway due to ice. Can’t recommend the place enough

I absolutely fell in love with the house ! The view is just breathtaking, and Stig and Christel are superhosts - Christel went all out with the Christmas tree, wine, and OMG the GIFTS for the kids ! You're amazing, Christel 😘! And the house though - beautiful, spotless, peace and quiet... perfect for chilling, vibing to music, and soaking in the views . Christmas time was extra special because it was all cozy inside, prepping for dinner. And the supermarket's nearby. The if anyone hunt for the aurora, we can see it from the backyard. Highly recommended this house and definitely want to come back someday🥰🥰

Big, clean, quiet and peaceful. It's very well equipped and nicely designed and decorated. The bed is super comfy, the deck is huge and gorgeous views from every window. It's on a beautiful little island a short drive to shops and restaurants, and about 25 minutes to Tromso. We saw the northern lights from the deck, and enjoyed a walk on the beach in the morning. Christel is a helpful, warm and welcoming host. Book this place, you will love it too!

“A hidden gem, 20 minutes from Tromsø”

A truly beautiful house in an astounding enviroment! Christel and Stig were there to greet us upon arriving, gave us a warm welcome and informed us about how everything around the house works. They also provided a lot of info about what to do in the area. The house itself was very well taken care of, spotless clean and beautifully decorated. The hosts pay attention to all details, such as lovely indoor plants, freshly cut flowers, candles everywhere and firewood. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen bathroom were spacious and well equipped. The view was beyond gorgeous! It was a real pleasure to sit on the couch and enjoy the sunbathed surroundings. We' ve got a new goal now, to stay in this house again!

“The affordable millionaire view”

If you are looking for peace, quiet, and a millionaire view then this is the place, and still only a 15-20 minute drive to down town Tromso. Extremely friendly and helpful host with all the local knowledge that ensures you don’t waste time hunting for those ‘hidden gems’.

What a lovely place, with a spectacular view from the living room. Very spacious, with lots of facilities. Very nice contact with the owners, and our daughter was mad about the dogs. It was highly appreciated that she was allowed to walk the dogs on the beach, thanks again for that. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay. Christel and Stig were so welcoming. The house was spotless and really well situated. Close enough to Tromso, but also away from the hustle.

The apartment is super cozy, bed very comfy and kitchen well equipped with everything you might need. The views were amazing no matter the weather. Very attentive owners living downstairs with their dogs.

The views from the large windows in the apartment from the living area, bathroom & bedroom were spectacular. We could have spent all day there just looking at the water & the mountains. There is a fabulous large private terrace/balcony. Inside it was warm & cosy with great heating & a super log burner too. It's a perfectly located property just a short drive from Tromso and it has the best supermarket Eide Handel nearby. The apartment has everything you need for self catering & the kindest hosts. Hakoya is a tranquil & beautiful place with low levels of light pollution and we were lucky enough to see the northern lights one night just a few minutes walk from the apartment. We drove to Sommaroy one day (one hour away) after our hosts recommended it and the drive there was stunning. We hope to come back one day! Thank you again Christel & Stig for a perfect stay - tusen tusen takk!

A truly wonderful apartment with plenty of space and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The view of the sea is absolutely stunning and on clear nights, you can even watch the Northern Lights right from the house.The location is great, and you can reach Tromsø in just a short amount of time. Christel and Stig were incredibly kind and made us immediately feel at home. Their helpful tips made our stay even more special. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone!

The location of the property was amazing, the scenery was incredible and it was a perfect location for seeing the northern lights with the most incredible backdrop. The view from the windows was breathtaking and the rooms were setup in such a way you could relax fully. Everything you could possibly need was there, it was warm and cosy and very welcoming. The hosts had left a wonderful welcome gift and everything was just easy. I would recommend this place to everyone but please leave some space so I can return one day!
