I would encourage everyone to book this place, to even make a detour during your trip to visit this area and especially to stay at Foresteria di San Leo. We have been travelling a lot over the past years, and this is one of the best spots we've stayed at. The location is absolutely amazing, but even better are the staff and the food! The owners are so so so nice, they make you feel at home and treat you like family. Both the breakfasts and dinners are exceptional. The breakfast offers so many different options and the cakes are just extremely delicious. The price of the dinners is extremely low for the high quality that they provide, we were super full and happy both times we ate here. The room is also really nice (it takes some time for the water in the shower to turn hot, so just be patient ;-) ) and the swimming pool was great even in early October. We will suggest this place to any family/friends visiting this area and if we were ever to return in Basilicata ourselves, we will again book this place without a single doubt. The absolute best!

A superb accommodation that I would rate excellently! We had a wonderful time here. The apartment was clean, spacious, and exceptionally well-equipped. The location was also great, close to tourist attractions and restaurants. An additional highlight of our stay was Andrea, who proved to be incredibly helpful and friendly. She always provided us with advice on places to visit. Her warmth and dedication made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a visit to this beautiful location. “Relaxing and thoroughly wonderful.”

Wow where to start, as there were so many things we loved. Andreana, Maria and Peppino (Mum and Dad) were absolutely wonderful. They truly cared about us, ensuring we were happy with everything and nothing was too much to ask. Breakfast and dinners were superb made with all the freshest locally grown ingredients and we felt so spoilt. Our accommodation was perfect - peaceful and perfect blending of modern facilities without compromising the historical feel of the spaces. Beautiful countryside setting, peaceful and relaxing. Lovely friendly atmosphere. The food was always freshly cooked and delicious. Plenty of small villages to visit with lots of history, tiny steep paths and alleys, and stunning views across the mountains and valleys.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Excellent breakfast and wonderful dinners. Super nice helpful people. Was really like something you would see in a travel magazine. Great pool. We also took a cooking class here, which we highly recommend. Quiet in a really good location.

“Perfection!”

Everything! The swimming pool! So wonderful to swim in late September, in the mountains surrounded by vegetation, in a covered open air pool which was uncovered for me during the day. Blissful! The accomodation was all that we needed it to be. Very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Andreana and her lovely family could not put a foot wrong- they provided a wonderful breakfast and we enjoyed their home cooked suppers with their fresh grown produce both evenings. They speak English and French between them , so we didn't need to practice our Italian much! We could have stayed much longer in this tranquil, remote slice of heaven!
