It is at the beach. This beach is a nice bay and a good choice for a windy day. The rooms looking towards the sea and it feels nice to wake up and have a coffee at the balcony.

From the location to the food, our entire stay was beyond our expectations. The biggest reason for this was the amazing staff that took care of us and made us feel so comfortable from beginning to end. This place was the perfect honeymoon spot for resting, relaxing, and swimming!

Great location, although windy, in front of the beach and a nice balcony view. Decent room, clean and convenient.

“Amazing place and people”

Wonderful location just in front of the beach. Exactly next door there is a wonderful restaurant where you can chill all day long. Room was spacious with a fully equipped kitchen. AC was new and working fine. We even had our private little balcony in front of the beach. Stuff is super polite and helpful with anything you may need.

“Returning for the third time”

Third time we are here and it’s still as good the the previous visits. Excellent sun shades keeps the heat out of the room and the morning sun until you decide to have breakfast on the balcony. The bathroom has been updated which is nice, the view is as spectacular as before. We found our way up to the cliff towards Triopetra and can recommend doing it for a fantastic overview of the area. The staff is super friendly and the food is great. Free sunbeds.

“Returning to Little Triopetra”

We’re back at this fantastic place, simple but fully functional rooms with a great view over the bay. Very friendly staff at the restaurant that owns the rooms. Never crowded at the beach and the silence that comes after 11pm when the restaurant closes is so comforting. Because it’s secluded (not many lights) you can lay on the beach and watch the stars at night. We will be back again.

Amazing location, rooms are good (small so they lack a bit of storage) but you don’t come here for to stay in the rooms. The ambience after the sun has set and guests have left the taverna below (which is really good) is fantastic. Quiet and dark so you can watch the stars while enjoying a drink on the beach. The staff at the taverna (same owners) are very friendly and will if time permits sit down with you and share a raki. You really feel like part of a family. Also since there are just 5 rooms it feels natural to start talking to the other guests. The beach is also great (free sun beds for the guests) and if you feel a bit adventurous you can walk to the right 10-15 min) and experience an almost empty beach with sand dunes (and likely some nude tourists) We would come back here any time.

“Secluded quiet place”

Secluded quiet place, small private beach with umbrellas and sunbeds. Tavern downstairs with great food. The larger Triopetra beach is nearby.

We have often been to the Apanemia rooms for the day as they have a very pleasant beach and a great restaurant. We saw on the internet that a room was available for one night and booked immediately. Usually there are no rooms available as they get booked out very quickly. The rooms are located above the taverna. Our room was clean and comfortable and the view towards the sea from the balcony is lovely. All the rooms are air conditioned. All in all our room was just what we wanted and expected. The restaurant is excellent and they have a good variety of food and drinks. There are two specials boards, one for traditional Cretan foods and the other for fish. We have never had a bad meal there. The staff are friendly and courteous. Overall we have always enjoyed going there and having managed to spend a night there made it even better.

“Probably the remotest and most quiet location in Crete - soo lovely!”

We stayed in the studio (#5) which is located on the ground floor next to, and belonging to, the Taverna Apanemia. It is situated in the small bay on the eastern side of the Triopetra rocks, right in between the two tavernas (Apanemia and Vasilis) that are located on the beach, with only a little road between them and the sand. We were there during the last week of October, just before the end of the season. Actually the taverna and the apartments closed for the winter right on our last day. The studio is spacious and fairly well equiped. If you need something that is not available in the kitchen, just go next door, and the cook of the taverna Apanemia will help you out. In front of the studio you have your own little terrace with a table and chairs. You even have your own little private parking :-) At this time in the year the whole area is very quiet although both tavernas were still frequented by guests during the day. However, everyone goes to bed around 22:00h and after that, the only sounds that you can hear are the soft waves on the beach. The kitchen of the two tavernas is great and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely come back :-)
